First GrowBox - First Planta (Sugestions - Help)

Peace brothers,

This is my first time in the forum and I want to share with you guys my experience with indoor growing.

I made this small grow from a trash box, put 2 PC coolers on the bottom TOP, and another Front Down.

I got this seed from a friend ( White Widow ) and now she ( I HOPE ) is 2 weeks and something old.

I transfer her today to a bigger bowl*, and now im working on a bigger growbox!

Have u feed her yet? Also dont let the pot sit in the runoff water no good for the roots. In general she looks really good!! GL

Check out www.spacebuckets.com they'll have some great ideas for you. Paint the inside white. The light reflecting off of it will be much brighter than the bare wood. Be sure to let it dry completely before putting any plants back in I put a budzilla back into a cabinet I had painted a couple of hours earlier and it died overnight. Flat white is supposedly better than gloss. I like cabinets far better than spacebuckets, the spacebuckets just seem a little too cramped. I've built many a cabinet in my day too. You might be interested in smell reduction later. Look into a DIY carbon filter. I can send pics of mine if you'd like. Your plant doesn't look like it could get very tall before touching those lights, maybe use this box for germination and the first couple weeks of veg? I know you can grow from seed to harvest in a PC case but if you have enough room for it, why not go bigger and get a far better yield? Looks like you've got the skills to get it done too.
I rarely use intake fans. Just exhaust and circulation. I'd rather not pressurize the air that reeks like dankness, rather pull it through a filter and neutralize it. A gentle breeze on the seedlings is preferred and a stiff breeze on them from about week 3 or 4 on. Gotta toughen up those stems! I've mounted fans inside the cabinet blowing straight down before that worked well too. A pot that is wide and shallow works well for cabinets too. A kitty litter box works and then the cabinet can be built around the dimensions of your pot. If possible, grab 2 and stack them. Drill drain holes in the top one and use the bottom one as a catch pan. Don't use miracle grow extended release soils and rock on. Good looking plant, keep up the good fight.

Hey guys, Really apreciated the replyes.

Tropical, after i transfer her to the bigger pot,
( i donno if this is what you asked but..)
I FEed her with 1ml of Bio-Grow from Biobizz.
I have the ALG one too i donno if i can feed her with that too what do you think?

KEvin, ty alot i've learned a lot from youre reply.
(MY DREAMS PROJECTS)
after i transfer this one to a bigger BOX i will use the small one for clones, i will paint it white, good idea.
MY idea is to already tranfer her to the bigger one, but im having some problems to get to bigger one donne! MAYBE NEXT WEEK!! ( i hope)
Was not a good idea the intake fan, I turned it of beacause it killed my first plant drying het out.
BUT, I turned it on now that this one is bigger, but i will turn it of AGAIN! THANKS.

My soil is just a mix that i bought from internet, and the white stones ( donno the name) 50/50

Now i will start to fert Her, i'm studing and learning.

THANK A LOOT MAN! I WILL SEND MORE PICT LATTER!

The Alg stuff from Bio Biz is designed to be used by stressed plants, young seedlings, fresh transplants, after a flush, etc. Use that after your next repot (which should be your final repotting) and try not to go crazy on the nutes. Less is more in that arena. Nute burn can stunt a plant worse than a slight deficiency so err on the side of caution. Bio grow is fine up until maybe week 3 of flower or so. Then switch to just bio bloom.

Hey guys,

Just changed to the bigger GROW! I hope i made it right, now i will need a small fan to put on thw bottom right?
4.jpg

I put the lamp like 50 CM from the plat, i hope its not too hoT!

Make sure you monitor rh and temps in there...keep an eye on the leaves near the top of the plant if the edges of the leaves start curling up,your light is too close or its too hot or dry. They dont need a ton of intensity while vegging.try to keep rh 55-65 in veg, temps ~75f.Hope this helps man you are off to a great start.merry christmas!

Your plant may just be going through a period of shock brought on by the transplant and topping. Any idea what your soil PH is and the PH of your watering solution?

Hey Kevin, Thanks Again for the support, i hope you are right, today she is looking better.

I hope i dont have to use other stuff, cause i'm only flushing her with de BIO-GROW fert.

No idea of the PH of the soil or the watering solution, but soon I will get the equipment.

It's looking OK, the yellow leaves will never return to green. You have to watch the new growth to see how the plant is doing now and your top looks fine. Notice how the top split in 2 when you cut it? That was the whole reasoning behind cutting it, more bud sites... Do you have a fan on this plant? Any air flow would help, something to help strengthen the stem for sure.

You're not actually "flushing" at all, that is something you do with just plain water. Do you have any idea what the composition of your soil is? BioGrow is just a food for the beneficial bacteria in an organic system so if your soil is lacking in any nutrient, no amount of BioGrow would help. The continued yellowing of your bottom leaves indicates a possible nitrogen deficiency. If you have access to Earthworm Castings, watering with a EWC tea would help, so would top dressing.
I'm still not seeing a fan. I'm talking about a small fan to blow air across the plant, stir up the air around it, bend the leaves a little, help simulate outdoor conditions.

Hello Guys,

Thanks Kenvin and Mommasmoke for the support, you guys are helping me out ALOT!!

Just put a fan inside the GROW, on the bottom part, the air is going right to the plant, is that right??

The soil is 60% Of that soil that you buy in the store, and 40% of the white little stones ( SORRY my english is not the BEST )

12557681_10204904796842149_1357527722_o.jpg

Here is the plant, i think she is starting to grow up fast again, Do you still think I need put something else besides the BIOGROW ? biogrow have N - Nitrogen, but no P (Potassiun ??)

What is the best way to keep control of the PH of the water solution ?

I didint mean flush... But i need to FLUSH ( only water ) somethimes??? cause now i aways putting the FERT.

THANK AGAINS GUYS!!!

know everything.

Store bought soil can vary greatly. I don't suppose you still have the bag of soil so you can take a picture? Without really knowing what's in the soil it's hard to give accurate advice.
BioGrow is a plant food activator so to speak. In laymen terms, biogrow is the chef and the nutes are the food. We just don't know how much food you have. A chef isn't much good in an empty kitchen and, likewise, biogrow will be of minimal benefit if used in a sterile soil. The little white stones are called perlite and they help a lot with drainage and soil aeration.
The fan was a great addition. Its exactly what we were talking about.
PH control can be achieved multiple ways. If the soil PH is too far off then it will effectively lock out nutrients. Check the water runoff after watering and see what it says. Hopefully between 6.0 and 6.5 or so.
As far as nutrition goes, try topdressing (putting some on top of the soil) with earthworm castings which is basically worm poop. It would be a good source of nutes and beneficial bacteria.
Hope I'm not overloading you with info.

Hey Kevin, PEACE MAN, you are helping me alot! Know Everything!!!

I just bought some EWC and put with the bio-GRow on the last time I feed HER she is growing up GOOG now!

This is the soil that i bought in the store, hope it helps you

12620733_10204931165861358_1702629162_o.jpg

And the PLANT : 12620871_10204931166181366_1819566354_o.jpg

Im feeding her every 3 days , I should use fert and EWC everytime ???

THANKS ALOT FOR THE HELP!! =D

Your soil actually looks like composted moss. You could just put a little EWC on top of the soil and water through it every time. Next time try a soil mix of equal parts bagged soil, EWC, and perlite.
I was mistaken about the fert, the NPK 3 0 8 indicates nitrogen and potassium buy no phosphorus. It looks reasonably healthy, where are you planning on putting her into flower?

Hey Kevin, thanks alot for the help man.

NExt time I will make a soil like you told.

I planning on putting her at the same place, just change the light, ( i have the other one ) and the time ( 12/12 ) Right ???

Here how she looks TODAY
