First grow

This is my first grow and I just need to make sure im doing it right. Im only growing one plant and im using two 65 watt cool white cfls with reflectors to veg and I plan on using two 42 watt(or more if I can find them) warm cfls with reflectors for flowering. Is this enough to get a decent grow rate because i’ve heard people saying growing with cfls is very slow.

For soil i was thinking about using the miracle grow potting soil that already has fertilizer in it.. is that alright or should I get soil without fertilizer and fertilize myself.

As for the lighting...............more the better. Just keep and eye on them temps and make sure you have proper venting. As for vegging with CFL's make sure you have the 6500k and for flowering the 2700k-3000k warm-white/soft-white bulbs. Or you could always mix em up and give the plant the best of both worlds.

As for the soil. Miracle Grow is a love hate relationship with growers. If i were you and had some extra cash just look into Fox Farms Ocean Forest. Miracle grow has a tendency to burn seedlings and sprouts due to it's time released nutrients.

If i were you i would at least start a few plants off at the same time just incase the one plant you have turns out to be male. Your looking at a 50/50 chance. But if it turns out to be a female CFL's would do the job. That of course is for one plant. A metal halide or HPS in my opinion would be a bit overkill for one plant but that's depending on the wattage used.
