First Grow. WW

These are 25 days since I planted em. First grow, started under a T5, but moved it under a 400W MH recently. I'm pretty sure one of my plants got burnt, because it seemed stunted compared to the others and had leaf tips that were brown. Now, it seems like the browning is spreading. It was fine til yesterday when I raised the pots on shoe boxes so now they're 24" from the light opposed to the 29" before. Well here are the pics! I need help.. is it time for nutes? I've started in FF ocean forest soil.


Ok.. I don't know why I can't upload pictures? It says I don't have a valid security token, and I can't inform an administrator..? Anyway, the browning is on the tips only of the leafs. I need some help

I get the same message if I try to upload more than two pics at a time. Try only doing two at time hopefully that will work and then maybe we can be of some help.

With the info you put up in your message it simply appears that you have your plants too close to the light and that you moved them even closer before they properly recovered. I would take a thermometer and measure the temperature at the top of the canopy and see how hot it is and post your readings. It sounds like you have a good soil mixture so you're probably better off NOT giving any nutes until you figure out what is going on.

Oops. Forgot to mention that the temp rarely exceeds 80*F. At the time I noticed the "browning tips" on the rest of them, it has been 74* all night, and highest is 79*

FINALLY got the pictures up! Had to resize em! Anyway, the one with the most visible burnt leaf is the runt. The rest are looking pretty good, but I checked em out yesterday and they started having a little brown spot on the tips of the lower leafs. The dixie cups show them about 10 days ago, before I transplanted. Thinking about adding some grow big soon? I'm gonna flower at 12". How am I doing?

Anyone? suggestions?

where do you get square pots? what are urs volume, 1 gallon? im lookin for 5 gallon squares btw.

it looks to me like you may have cooked them with your light to me, and you can probably start giving nutes soon just start with 1/4 to half strength.

Local hydroponic store for the pots. They're 3 gallons 9 inch pots. And yeah I think I'm going to start nutes (FF grow big) next watering which is in a day or two. It's weird how I burnt them because the temps stayed in the 70's, but I guess the light was still too close..

Well.. guess I'll give a little update, insight or advice is appreciated. Day 34 since planted, and I started the flowering cycle. Tallest is at 12", then 11, then 10.5, then 10. They're in a closet with a limited amount of space, 5' tall, about 2 feet wide, and 14" deep. I'll try to get some pics up right now. How're they looking? Please.. any feedback is good! This is my first grow! I don't want to feel like I wasted my time uploading this. Appreciate it guys and gals. Roll it up!

They look great man, my WW finish about 6" taller then those in 7" pots, but I do flower at 2 weeks.

I see you have some mylar there, you should put that around your babies, it'll do better then the walls.

Thanks man. Would the hassle of putting up mylar make that much of a difference anyway?

Update: Woke up this morning after my first day of 12/12.. and the plants were all droopy. I hope this is from underwatering (only about 3 days since I've watered), but I watered them fully this morning and hopefully they'll perk up. Also started my first dose of Tiger Bloom.

Now I got a question about the MH bulb itself - when I was switching out the MH to HPS, I guess I didn't let it cool down enough... and the microfiber towel I was using kind of melted itself onto the bulb.. but just a bit. Is this alright? Will it explode the next time I turn the MH on..?
