First Grow.. Very New!!!!

Lowes and Home Depot have been the two most major stores I've been to for supplies.

It's also nice when you have a specialty shop nearby which sells products for growing.


For the veg cycle I added two 6500K daylight 100 watt CFLs and they began to grow like mad.

I would suggest going all CFL because the produce higher lumens and use less electricity. You can also find 150W CFLs for about $10 each for when you want to throw them into flowering. They range in the 2700K scale which is what you're going to want.

If it were me I'd add 4 of them at least, just because I love the CFLs and they've proven to be excellent so far for my grow. I just added two LED panels (one is a UFO), and will be adding another today.

I need to build a bigger room ASAP because I'm now up to four larger plants and they're going to start smelling pretty soon.

Can someone guide me on a little water schedule cause i wanna make sure im not giving it to little or to much. i have a little suirt bottle i give it about two short sprays into the soil mutiple times a day for each plant.

i just got some good seeds from one of my friends which deals weed and im about to germinate them and replace some of my plants with those

my plants are about 3 or 4 inches tall but the site aint wanting to post pictures but one of my taller ones is having problems standing up.. does putting it infront of the fan make the stem stronger??

yea thats what you wanna do not too close if its falling over it could mess it up more I put mine in front of a fan as soon as they were sprouted.

k thanks man what do i do if the leafs are sticking up what does that mean?

do they curl downwards if so it might be a lil heat stress. How close to do you keep the lights?

about 3 to 4 inches away they are doing pretty good right now i put them in bigger pots today cause the roots were bottomed out ill try to get some pics on asap.

sound about right I kept mine about 6 in away i have never done soil before but will try it with my other grow I got goin on keep us posted how big are they?

they look fine man keep it up might wanna get a fan on em to start getting the stem stronger to stand up on its own.

i got two fans on them now there was already one on them now i got the sticks out and they are standing alone. i just switched the lights to 12 12 i know it seems soon but i think it will work out. especially if they can double in size in flowering and im mainly doing it cause it gets really hot when im at work all day and dont have it open it was at 92 when i got home yesterday. it has never been nowhere near that hot but i also added another light.

by the way im really not worried about the yeild.

yea I tryn find a way to get that heat out cuz that high can cause the plant heat stress don't worry about starting it off at 12/12 i've heard people doing that and still having good results although they had a 400 hps but i'm sure it can work wit cfl's thats what i'm using but my grow rm is prolly larger how many cfl's or lights you got?

well i got 3 cfls and 1 other light my friend grew weed off of and it worked so ive been using all 4 on 4 plants no problem. Is it a good idea to set them in the window seal some days. its nice and warm and gets good natural sunshine.
