well its gone now, is it normal to be so easy to tell at 6 days? i have 2 females and that male so far out of my 6 i still have 3 i can't tell yet?

when does a male start to be a problem for the females? does it take a week or two for there pollen to be dangerous ?

Well, considering that pollen can get carried across oceans and still be active I would say male pollen is always dangerous to your girls. Females cant produce seeds till they have pistils though. Pollen + pistil = seed. You already ousted the male. You should be fine. Next time though, instead of just pulling the male out. Spray it with water first to deactivate any pollen. That way when you disturb the plant it wont kick up "dust" so to speak and have less risk of causing seeds.

I think it takes a few weeks before it releases the pollen. the males usually show their sex before the females do so you should be able to chop them down before they become a problem

Ive read somewhere that they can be unoticable to open and squirtin jizz in under 24 hours..
I think it's safe to say that you have at least a week from the time it starts showing nuts before it starts throwing pollen. I mean, I'm sure there are faster males out there but generally speaking there's a process that has to take place and it doesn't happen instantly.

When the pollen sacs droop over on their little stalk and hang upside down they are getting ready to release pollen, that's how you can tell for sure.
