I just read from the beg. and I too was somewhat dissapointed that it hermed on you. "It" still looks awesome. I hope you finish it right and smoke it. Don't tell your friends that it hermed out or they will make countless jokes about how you make your ex a lesbian and so forth.

Thanks. It's coming along nicely.

Here's a picture update. 30 days. She's pretty much stopped growing in height, and is starting to put weight on the buds. the top of the plant is only 6" from the bottom of the light and is bit bleached right at the tip, but the rest is gettin real frosty.

quick update. 36 days.

I pruned out all the center fan leaves to open up the canopy a little bit. some people may say this could stunt the plant, but I'm already pretty happy with it and decided to give it a try

Might i suggest a bit more pruning especially on the lower leaves? those buds are looking very good though man props to you for your first grow.. If you plan on many more grows in the future, consider buying a couple cfl's and a splitter to use the first few weeks of vegging or even for clones if you plan on cloning this beauty..Wont cost you more than 25-35 dollars and will pay for itself in saved energy after a couple grows.. Just my .02 cents though keep up the good work man!

Those black buckets are gonna soak up heat and cook your roots...

EDIT: Guess they didn't... but still. And great job for a 1st grow!

but still nothing...the black buckets do not absorb any noticeable amount more heat than white would, and they keep light out...thanks anyway.

just read all the way up on your journal, the setup worked out great, in doing a drip system and my rez is heating up and in doing the same ice bottle thing you where, to bad it turned out hermie but since you are picking off the pollen sacks hopefully you get some nice seedless buds for most of the plant, and hey...free seeds arent bad either
your plant is looking great, and that shot of the roots was quite amassing, ill be checking back for updates

thanks for lookin man. I shoud be harvesting within the next 5 days or so. Im seein a little bit of amber trichs. I want to wait a bit longer; looking for more of a couchlock stone.

I'll post pics before and after choppin her down.

im inspired by your bucket idea, i was originally planing on going and making a 3.5 gall ebb and flow bucket system but now im thinking of making a 5 gall DWC bucket like yours
