First Grow, Super Excited

Its possible ur lights may need to be a little closer.... As long as ur water level at that stage is about 1/2 inch to 1 inch below the bottom of the pots its not possible u are overwatering.........Are u underwatering...?
What ive found is my fan leaves will stretch str8 up almost like trying to touch the lamp thats when u know u have u water levels as well as light requirements close to where they need to be.
Try that.

Yah, it's probably the lights. I'm gonna move the SLH to the middle and add 4 more lights to the sides

HEY I AM ABOUT TO DO MY FIRST GROW AS WELL BUT I DONT KNOW JACK K GOT THE BP SYSTEM, A 400WATT HPS, FEM SNOW WHITE SEEDS,A PRETTY DECENT SIZE GROW BOX(ANY SUGGESTIONS ON ARRANGMENTS A PLACIN OF THE FANS/ i bought an exhaust i wanna cut a hole how do you get it to vent out?where do i start whats the first step after i clean and set up reverything i dont understand the nutes really i got grow micro flower

Boo so I gotta bucket full of droopy plants. I turned the pumps off and lowered the lights for observation. Actually, the nute burned plant is not droopy cause it's getting the best light.

UGH now those brainstorms are giving me problems AGAINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNnnnn. I just wanna strangle them. I'm gonna go look at em and take pics soon, just know something is probably up.

All the plants are doin well I turned the pumps off for a day and lowered the light, and now they are thrivingggggggg. I've kinda had to back off on the nutes, and the plants have only been at full strength once. Hopefully this time they will be able to handle it at full strength...

The first one is the brainstorm and the 2nd is a super lemon haze...The first one I am not too sure what is wrong with it...The 2nd one I'm sure is nute burn, but I don't know why! I only put in 1/3 nutes



I know they are over watered--I am switching to 5 min on ever 3 hours--those dying leaves were nute burned. Is it natural to have those first leaves die?

Also, the rockwool on some of them is turning this white color...I dunno if thats normal or not, but it's happening and it looks like that white stuff is climbing up the stem ? If that makes sense....

anyway I NEED HELP thanks.

Fixed the ph last night as it was @7.0. TREMENDOUS growth!!! All but 1 are about 8"

Still growin strong! It's riding at full nutes now and will probably switch to flower late this week.

I started on page one, and immediately saw that you might have problems with a specific issue. I jump ahead to this page and saw that you're plants are doing exactly what I thought they might.

I used the same 5 gallon container you're using, and while it is colored blue and you can't see in it, the container leaks light like mad! Peak under the hood while your light is on and you'll see what i mean, everything is bright as day in there. You probably have root rot. Can you take a pic of the roots? Are they white or brown? My roots were brown and really rotting away. To get over this, I placed a garbage back like black plastic on the outside of my container (if you see the pics, it's black on one side, white on the other). This solved my problem of root rot.

So check your roots, if they are white, then i'm totally wrong and you can ignore me. but if they are brown, light proof that container!
BTW, I grew one plant in that 5 gallon container - it fills it up - i scored 3.5oz off a 150w! You might be able to squeeze two in there, but it could get tough when they flower.

The roots are mostly white, some of them on one plant are a little darker. I will definitely put a garbage bag over it though. I redid the light set up today and it is sooooo nice.

The roots are getting a little crowded, and I had to untangle 2 plants today. Is that what you mean by crowding? The roots start to tangle with each other? Or once they are in flower will they just grow so big that they cover each other?

My roots are dark brown, literally from the Liquid Karma and other organic nutes, so... the color of the roots is somewhat dependent on nutes.

Yah, I can see some of the nute stain, but there is some definite dark roots on 1.

If you don't mind me asking... what's in your nute tea ? I don't remember seeing it listed.

Hey Fellow Growers, I've started my first bucket system w/ dutch master advanced part a and part b nutes.. I transplanted from soil to hydro and i followed the instructions on the bottles (1 litre bottle size) of adding 50 ml of part a nutes and 50 ml of part b nutes for my veggie stage... but after i mixed my first nute solution i read on their website nutes chart they recommend 29 mls of both part a and b for a 3.2 gallon busket system for the first 3 weeks of veggie and then an increase as the weeks proceed but never to the levels of nutes get to 50 mls for a 3 gallon resoviour.. the plant seems healthy.. should i cut back to the websites nutes chart or mix the next solution the same as the first, (50 ml of part a and part b) dutch master veggie formula? my plant is about 3 to 3 1/2" tall... in a 3 gallon bucket sytem w/ airstone... If anybody has any advice i'd really appreciatte any insight... Thanks

Its the stealth hydro nutes. Micro+grow right now, soon to be bloom+micro

So after I redid the light hood (I put all the lights under a niggerrigged cardboard hood!) and in one day the plants all caught up to each other height wise. Those dark roots that I saw are now super solid strong roots...come to think of it, the whole root system is incredible! I have a pic!

I see what you mean by crowding, so I might do some LST. I'm going to change them to flower Monday.

When I switch to flower do I simply flush the bin and then simply change to 12/12?
