Day 3 –First Check PPM – 225 PPM, plain water, good
First Check PH – 8.2 HIGH
Second Check PPM – 450 PPM, 2 tsp GH Micro, good with nutes
Second Check PH – 5.9 good
Day 4 – Added a 13 watt CFL, Total Lumens – 3325
Day 5 - PH – 6.9
Day 7 – Added oscillating fan
Day 8 – PH – 6.1
Multiple Leaves now
Added one more 13 watt CFL, Total Lumens – 4150
Day 9 – Switched over to 250 Watt HPS with 3 CFLs
Day 10 – Changed the CFLs to 3 42 watt CFLs – 7800 lumens + HPS = 36300 lumens total
Very low humidity – less than 20% - Added humidifier
Day 11 - PPM = 587
PH = 6.1
Temp = 81
Lights = 36300 lumens on 24/0

Roots are all in the water now. The one with the most roots is the most droopy of them all. It is the one in the front. I'm just looking for some advice. I am not sure if I am over watering. If the roots hit the water should I stop the drip? I have it going for half an hour 6 times a day. i was also thinking that it might be nute burn. Thanks in advance:-P

How often are you watering?

I see the drip line.

I am getting ready to move my plants about 10-12 inches tall in 2x2 cubes into my areoponics table.

I will have a couple more still in my flood and drain all the way through flower.

I battled over watering on my flood and drain. the rockwool was a little tricky at first.

the areoponics strictly in hydroton is cake never any problems, just plug it in and let it water 24/7.

I am watering every 2 hours right now. I was thinking of cutting this in half if it because of over watering.

It is dripping on the hydroton.
I have hydroton mediem also. Mine are drooping too I was feeding them 4x's a day then they started to droop then a friend said I need to flood more cuz theres no soil he said flood every 45min I was like dame. I thought it was to much then I looked at them the next day and the were AWSOME Huge! A little droop towards the end of the day but nothing major. So the next day "today" they grew great still but towards the end of the day it drooped again pretty bad this time. But in the morning they are sticking up idk + rep for help

I tried cutting back the watering times in half. I did this pretty early today and now they are looking even more droopy. I am going to switch it back to how it was before and see what it is like in the morning. I also moved my light closer. It was close to two feet way from the plants now I moved it to about 16 inches. Hopefully I will have good news in the morning :lol:

No luck yet:wall: I am gonna try a thirty on thirty off timing for the drip. I have heard people say that they do a 15 on 15 off, so I thought this might be better than my previous thirty on 90 off. If this doesn't work then I am gonna do a rez change. My PPM is a little high so I thought that it might be nute burn.

i know your in hydro and im in soil but i had similar problems with my seedlings and it turned out to be the humidity, they responded really wel to a saran wrap dome with a few breather holes on the bottom. my rooms humidity is 40-50 % plus the humidity in the tent what ever that is ;-)

i got one to perk up in a matter of an hour after covering it up

Try to water more like every 2 hrs for 15min until lights out. Thats what I did and there growing nice and my droop seems like its getting better. So try that cuz the hydroton dosent hold water unless you have a big rockwool. Im a noob thats my experience with my droopy leaves. (just read the plants that helps) If you figure something else out let us know too. Good luck.

Still no luck. Some of the leaves have dried out now. I am gonna keep the watering to once every two hours. I am also gonna turn off the fan and put the humidifier right next to the plants and see if this helps. I really hope it does! The humidifier does have a fan so this should be enough air movement.

So I did the changes. Watering every two hours and took the fan off of them that was blowing directly on them. The humidifier is running right next to them also. I have changed the lighting to 18/6 to help with the heat also. I have the lights off during the hottest part of the day. The hottest that it gets now is 85 and gets down to about 73 at the lowest. This is much better. The way i was running it before, it was sitting at around 90 consistently. This was mostly because of the heat wave but also because of the lights. The drying has completely stopped and the drooping has lessened but is not completely gone yet. There is also some very new growth that looks much less droopy. I will put up some pics tomorrow.

Cool so far so good. Yeah try to keep the temps 84f & lower the most. Mine are looking good but still towards the end of the day they droop a lil bit but not as much as they use too. Dang IDK what to do IDK if that is normal.

i think you should try to do a res. change cause your nutrients will dissapate on its own over time! now they r hitting the water! Hope everything works out man!!!

Did a few changes.

  • I did do the res change last night.

  • I also switched my HPS for a MH. My ballast has a switch so I can use it for both:lol:.

  • I moved my "exhaust" fan. It is now pulling air from right under the light. The highest that it ever gets now is 83. It does drop to 63 with the light out though I hope that this doesn't shock them too much. The low temps might have been because of the very cold day though.

  • I trimmed the dead leaves. I am not sure if this is good or bad to do. I couldn't find any info on this.
It has only been one full day since the improvements. There is new growth and I hope that they will soon start to look like real plants;-)
