First grow several problems...

Well I thought that I was ready for my first grow but seem to have several problems. I transplanted these clones to the hydroton 2 weeks ago and put them under the 1000w metal halide. My room is 4 x 6 x 9. Right away I had overheating problems with the room going over 90 degrees so I had to open the door which brought the temp down to 76 to 82 degrees with the light on. The next problem is that the temperature is dropping to 58 degrees when the light is off as that is the temp of the neighboring area.
The last 2 days I have gone to 24/7 lighting so the temp is staying in the 76 to 82 range.
My original water temp was around 60 degrees so I have added a heater and brought it up to about 70.
The first week my ph was running around 6.5 and climbed to 7.0 so I got some ph down and now I'm keeping it around 5.8
My ppm is holding steady around 1050. I fertilized the water the first day with BC Grow with the formula recommended by technaflora.
3 of the 6 plants practically rolled over and died and 3 seemed to do ok, not good but ok.
I have changed the water time a lot trying to figure out if I am over or under watering. I am now thinking I was over watering.
These pics are from today. 1 plant died so I pulled it. The others seem to be recovering but I am still having yellow leaves.
What do you think?
Not quite sure what I'm going to do about room temp when I get ready to flower...
My thoughts are that I will add another inline fan hooked to a thermostat that will draw air in from the room next to it that is 58 degrees.....what do you think?

The fan is going to help cool the temps down and lower your relative humidity. Your plants are showing stress from the PH, temps, & nutrient shock. The more closely you monitor your water, air, & light the more stable your grow is going to be. For future reference you may want to start your plants off at 1/4 to 1/2 strength on the nutrients & work your way up to full strength over a period of time. Keep on top of the PH, ease up on the feeding, and keep your temps inline & everything will fall into place. Oh & 1 more thing, KEEP EVERYTHING CLEAN! I mean it, clean your room out everyday with a good sweeping & wipe down your walls & floor with a 1 to 3 part hydrogen peroxide or 1 to 10 part bleach solution. The last thing you're going to want is pests moving into your warm plant environment. :D

Thanks Pete, that's exactly what I was thinking after spending hours reading the forum. Do you think I should dump the nutrients and start fresh and if so where do you think I should start the ppm?

If you notice the plants getting worse overnight then I would start a fresh batch of newts asap. If you see that the damage isn't progressing forward it will take sometime BUT your plants will begin to show signs of overcoming the shock within a few days or so. Within a solid week tey will bounce back but you have to stay on top of all of the other factors IE PH, Air, keeping clean etc.

Shit it looks like I have spider mites too.... little black dots on the underside of the leaves.....

Well I think I have things back under control.... All the new growth is looking really healthy, the plants are starting to fill in nicely. I decided to spray for spider mites with a 1/3 alchohol solution and it seems to be working. I had a few mites on the plants today but look to be gone for the most part. I did notice what I think was a magnesium deficiciency so I did a folier feeding with "MagiCal" and upped the dosage in the newts. The plants seemed to like it and look a lot more relaxed now.
About 4 days ago I started adding H2o2 and my ph in the tank pretty much leveled out and is only going up about .1 per day now instead of the 1.o it was doing prior. On the newt side, my ppm's starting gaining every day which I think means the plants are using more water then newts???
The last 3 days I have been adding ice to the resevior instead of water to bring the temps down. This also had the effect of leveling out the ppm's....running around 1050 to 1100....

Pretty happy right now....grow babies grow....
