Hey when do I start with nutes not until the second leaves start coming in right? Like two weeks from popping up? My soil is more of a coco mix with very little nutes.

I wait until it gets 3 to 4 sets of true leaves.
I began 3 days ago, day 14 but yours may develop at a different rate.
start with a very light dose of whatever you choose. the dosages listed for weekly feedings are for the entire week, not each feeding.
I started with 25% of max recommended dosage and divide that by # of feedings per week (in our case right now, 2).

I got one little girl that just popped out of the dirt looks like the seed is about to fall off. Is it best to cover it with dirt or let it do it's thing.

Day six Two plants are curling up almost to the stem. I watered yesterday morning 6.0 ph and misted them last night a little they got a little too hot maybe 85 for 4 hours. The big plant the first true leaves are twisting too. I put them under the weaker led for tonight going to let the soil dry out real good before I water them again.

I put my finger in the soil just now it's just slightly moist. Only gave them three droppers of water each. Then few squirts of water on the leaves and soil with a spray bottle. They looked like the leaves were getting dry with the fans on them.

The other two that were under leds look good probably because they didn't get as hot, but the new growth on the leaves is a lime green. Aslo the older one under the led cotyledons are also more lime green. I'm thinking maybe this light isn't bright enough. Also noticed the leaves aren't developing quite as fast under the led.

Hopefully They recover they aren't looking horrible or anything just a little stressed.

I also noticed the second set of new leaves are growing at an angle on the ones that were under the cfl. Maybe from the fan blowing on them idk. The ones under the leds are nice and straight.

Yes, 85F is too hot for our plants at any stage without additional co2... and that is the max recommended temp even with additional co2.
Try not to let that happen too often.
That soil looks kinda funny to me. Hopefully it will root that cup up soon so you can get it in some better soil.

I just transplanted mine today. Here she is day 21 now.

I also have one of these in flower right now (see sig).

Ya this soilless mix is bullshit It's like super fluffy and seems to hold water forever. I guess I should have really packed it in tight when I first put it in the cups. I've been trying to compact it when I water it a bit.

The original large containers I originally filled up with soil are still wet. That was about a week and half ago granted they don't have lights on them but still you would think at least the top layer would be dry by now. I should have used the light warrior I bought.

Canna pro mix plus Im kinda stuck with for this grow. Next time I'm going to make my own organic mix. My uncle owns a grow shop and swore it's the best but we'll see. I just wanted to try the nutes my first grow while I learn more about making my own soil.

I watered yesterday morning 6.0 ph
I adjust to 6.3pH.
Those tenths are significant to the plant and as i understand, its good to vary it (when the plant gets more mature) since it can more readily take up various nutrients and different pH. levels.

Nutrient-Lockout-Chart-Cannabis-2.jpg
There are better, easier to read charts like this, just happened to have this one.
*edit* Looking at that, we should be adjusting to 6.5 but my nutrients say adjust to 6.3 so that's what i do... That would explain a problem with the one flowering if calcium and magnesium are locked out at 6.3. Revelation!!!

From what I read about this canna mix they said start at 5.8 and work your way up to 6.2 as the grow goes on. This is more like a coco mix and it's ph is 6 out of the bag. I just did the 6.0 because I figure it doesn't matter too much at this point as the mix will balance it out. I originally did straight distilled water so 7.0. Next watering I'm going to ph to 5.8 with poland spring water. My tap water is crappy.

Whats the white mean on the chart that is not optimal but okay? Looks like I should stay around 5.8 the whole time going by that chart.

well, we are getting into stuff i know little about. I am relatively new at this.
pH. won't be my flower problem anyway since i use that pH. Perfect stuff from AN and it contains buffers that allow nutrient uptake from 4.0-8.0 so I really ain't supposed to adjust it at all and only do when feeding plain water. When i mix ferts, it is already magically at 6.3.
Maybe someone else can help with the nutrient stuff.

They are looking much better this morning I wonder if the light was just a little too strong I did take the reflectors off the lights and turned one sideways and put both close to eacher. Anyways the twist is gone still are droopings but looking better

hey So I have these weird specs on the leaves idk if it's a mold or something. they look kinda like crystals but that doesn't make much sense. It could be from my light I cut the plastic off the shop light so maybe it's just plastic dust falling on them, but I don't see it on the round leaves. 20170201_225217.jpg

Looking good,
I see that stuff and while i don't know what it is, i think its safe to say it ain't mold. During flower is when mold becomes a real concern.
If it don't wash off when you spray it, i would just write it off to genetics. Do you know the strain or is it some bag-seed?
I dunno bro, but it ain't nothing to be concerned about at this point.
Grow on!
