First grow room limited vertical space

Ok I own my own house and am doing my first grow room. I am really wanting to do this in the crawl space on the bottom of the house. The only problem is I only have about 3 and a 1/2 vertical feet from floor to roof. Now if I really need to I can dig a couple feet down in the foundation before making a plastic room so my vertical is 5 foot or so. I have tons of horizontal space. I want to set up a DWC (deep water culture) grow system. I planned on using tubs and thought of the idea of making the tops flush to the ground. Anyhow I need feedback to move forward with thought. Where there's a will there's a way so don't be pessimists in your helping me please

look up some good lst techiques, but i only got about 3 1/2 feet and i can do 2 oz a plant easy its all about tieing the fuckers down and bonsaing the crap out of them, cause they'll wana go up but every day or so u gotta tie em back down, but I've tried topping in the past and i just don't like the shape of it compared to my tied down plants, plus u don't gotta cut off any growth cause that's always sad

I LST ( low stress training) with plastic coated paperclips. It they get too close to the light or you have uneven growth hook one end to the top of the plant below the first set of fan leaves and the other end lower on the truck. Leave the paperclip on for a week then take it off. They will stay at that height and you have just increased the bud sites. The flowers at the 2nd, 3rd and 4th node are now receiving full productive light.

the having the tubs flush sounds great. if your really limmited on space you could do the scrog thechnique, it seens verry suitable for this situation, look some SCROG techniques up! good luck and good growing!
