this is my first grow so i'm not sure how plants are supposed to look at two weeks. in my opinion, they look rather puny. Anything that can be done about that?

Conditions:
Wide closet with fan running 24/7
3 40W grow lights running 16/8
temp: ~78 degrees
humidity: ~60
watering twice daily (i know that sounds like a lot but i water them in the morning and they are bone dry when i get home from work)
growing in agro-mix, no added nutes

thanks!!

is it two weeks since they sprouted or 2 weeks since you planted them

they still look healthy so i wouldnt worry about it, seedlings put all there energy into establising roots before you start to see vegetative growth, and some strains are just slower out of the gun than others

id also suggest going with 18/6

youd be surprised how much that extra 2 hours of light could do

They don't look too bad, just a bit puny. Try giving them some more light, either with a small HID, a few CFL's, or swap out your "grow lights" with daylight and cool white spectrum bulbs.

What is the strain anyway?

your babies need more room to grow - a 16 oz cup with holes in the bottom works well.

when you transplant use a soil/perlite mix that does not include too much ferti;lizer. foxfarm is the gold standard

sorry i meant 18/6. it's been 2 weeks since planting.

the lights are from many years ago, all i know is they're called 'grow lights'. i'll be getting hps lights for flowering but i thought these would be enough for veg.

it wouldnt hurt to throw sum 27/100 watt cfls in there

and if thats 2 weeks since planting then your especially good

no worries mate, just make sure you get em into sum bigger containers and they will let you know if they are not getting enough light, keep it as close as possible without burning em to prevent stretching

your on your way good luck!

one more thing -the reason you;re watering twice a day is because the plants are in too small a space. when you repot only water when the dirt is dry down an inch or so, then water thouroughly until some comes out of the bottom of the cup.
