Sorry for the delay but I had a ton going on with the Holidays and work related issues but now I'm back!!!
Anyways as you can see I was able to get a Denny's breakfast to-go plate and make a humidity dome for a few clone cuttings. I made 7 cuts in all. I used no rooting hormone and originally had the clones in cups of water with plastic over the top and stuck the stems in the water on top of those. I think it kind of worked but it was too much work for me trying to re-fill the water and what not so i decided to simply use the Denny's container, fill it with soil and hope for the best.
The clones were taken off flowering plants about 3 days in so might not have been flowering at all. I am attempting to have the clones taken off a 12/12 plants simply continue to grow in the flowering cycle with the 12/12 lights as you can see.
The plants continued to grow in water even though they had no roots. I even got fan leaves to grow. I started over with the same cuttings as if I was making a fresh cut. I cut off the fan leaves and side growth, clipped the leaves and stuck them in the soil. I have heard this will work but the root growth will take longer, but really my big plants will take a few weeks to complete anyways so I am hoping to simply have good roots when my first batch is finished and be able to transplant into a finishing pot continuing the flowering without have every really stopped it. The babies are standing firm so let's see what happens.
Now to the ladies.
They are a couple 3 weeks into flowering. The growth and the branching is great. I am looking at at least 4 tops on each plant and maybe up to 8 on the strongest plant.
They have all started to produce the immature pistils as you can see in the pics. I just woke up one morning a couple days ago and BAM!!!! to my surprise the start of budding. I have heard that when cuttings are taken from a mature flowering plant that the next flowering time may end up being shorter than typical. I have seen where peoples plants show no signs until the last two weeks in some cases and especially with plants like OG Kush so I was not expecting much for a while. Now I am so excited I am just looking to see what happens next.
Any insight and advice is appreciated.
I have learned a ton even up to this point that you can not learn simply by research.
At the end I will share some ideas that I am going to implement next time to make my grow even better hopefully.
Enjoy!! One last note: With the lights I currently have and looking at my space I could probably grow 6 plants with 3 or 4 weeks of veg without much concern. Hopefully by the time I'm finished there will be more hopping on the T-5 bandwagon.
