I have been smoking marijauna for several years, but don't know very much about growing.I am growing my first plant EVER and i've managed to get it in the flowering stage. I think that I messed up right from the start by planting it in too big of a pot to start with..It looks pretty good.but I have a few concerns.I water it every other day, the soil seems kind of wet and muddy.. Am I watering it too much??? Also, since I topped it (about a month ago) it hasn't grown very much at all in height. Is it possible that I need to transplant it into a bigger pot,or is it to late in the game for that.I have so many unawnsered questions and would greatly appreciate ANY help I can get. Thanks,

Sounds to me like over watering brother! Don't water her til the pot seems weightless. If you overeater she won't grow very fast. Wait till the pot is light or if you stick your finger in the soil and it still feels damp up to your first knuckle wait a little longer. Marijuanna is kinda like a cactus it likes to dry out a little before you water it again, also tjis kind of helps the roots grow more and "search" for water. What size pot is she in? How long have you been flowering? What kind of soil and what kind of nutes are you giving her? I like to let my baby veg a little after I top it. Usually best not to top in flowering or right before.

Start keeping records of every time you water and feed. Include how many nutes you are using. Stick a finger about an inch into the soil and feel for dampness, lift the pot and try to get a feel for how light it is when it needs watering.

Thanks so much!!! for the advice. As you can tell,I need a lot of it...as far as the nutirients,I'm giving her a mixture of some nutrients and distilled water that my friend made up..let me check out what kind they are..As far as the size of the pot, I would say it is about a 1 gallon pot. I read somewhere that I was suppose to start it in a 2" square pot.So that was another area where I was concerned that I messed up.. I'm pretty sure that she has been flowering for about 2 months or at least a month and a half. That was yet another concern. For the time that it has been flowering, the buds don't seem very big. Although they are loaded with crystals and VERY pungent....(as far as fertilizer all that I have been giving her is something called Alaska Fish Fertilizer) (5.1.1.)

A pretty long time...I'm thinking about 2 months. Again I don't know if it was taking so long because of the pot being too big to start out with. I'm not totally sure that I've got down what the nodes are very good, but I think that I topped it at about the 5th node...

Pics would help! Yeah I mean usually your pot size generals determines how big your plant will get. Starting small and working your way up to a bigger pot is recommended but honestly not that big od a deal. It just helps to establish a bigger root ball. Yoy want about a gallon for every foot you wanr her to be. My girl is in a 5 gallon bucket and she's roughly 3 foot tall. I vegd for one month excluding the 2 week seedling phase. And shes been in flower for a little over 5 weeks and 2 of my main colas are almost as big around as pop cans and the orher 2 are a little smaller. Make sure your giving her a lower nitrogen and higher phosphorus. Like a bloom nutrient. Check out a local hydro shop, they xan be extremely helpfull and usually are pretty lax about what your doing, I wouldnt ever say your growing pot, but you should know what you need with a little research. Also again make sure you only water when she dries out a little. Don't let her droop but over watering is a serious mistake thats easily made. Will definitely lead to a smaller plant smaller yield. Also again pictures wpuld be very helpful!

Also check for light leaks in your grow area, you need atleast 12 hours of complete darkness for her to flower.

Yes your over watering her and your pot/ or soil might not have good drainage ... just allow her to use up all the water thats left before you give her more h2o

Did you put anything on your soil? Or is this mold on that 2nd picture? You might want to transplant her, make sure you have well draining soil and that your pot has plenty of drainage holes in the bottom. Looks a little small, but that could be due to the over watering. I would think about getting better soil and a better pot for your next grow. I use a 5 gallon bucket with plenty of holes drilled in the bottom.

I put something on it that a friend of mine made up.(alaskan fish fertilizer 5.1.1. and distilled water) I think that may have caused the mold. I'm not sure. Should I just get different topsoil (what brand or type) and what type of fertilizer or nutrients should I get? Because I think that my best option is to do what you say and just transplant it....
Thanks tandem.......jimmyy420.....:joint::joint: Once again, thanks so much for the advice. I need all the help I can get....lol.....
