first grow need a lil help plz??

alright guys this is my first grow and right now my seeds are germinating and expecting them to be ready to plant by tomarow evening. how much if any water should i be giving them and for how long? how much light/dark, and any other lil tricks or anything that might come in handy? bout a month ago a good friend of mine had bout 4 pounds of some kick ass silver kush, i living in north dakota and we just dont normally have bud like that lol ya know, so of course i got a few seeds from him, tried a grow a few weeks ago but i ended up getin charged wit some paraphernalia and controlled substnace wit the same buddy...so it kinda put a end to that... but anyways, just need a little help with this, REALLY excited for it to work out!

what are you planting them into , what equipment you using ? best bet really is to do a bit of searching about and read as much as you can plus get yourself a good book thats simple to understand, dj shorts book is good

i been researching all over the place but just aint found nothin bout watering schedules or nothing like that and wit the lighting situation you think i should do 16/8 as soon as they start sprouting? im a busy man lately, no time for books or anything man lol just want opinions from some experienced growers lol

oh and im gonna be planting them into a little pot bout the size of 2 cereal bowls on top eachother for now, and using just a basic little flourescant light until i get the chance to run to a store and get a lil better one

you'll find you get a lot more help when you put a bit of effort in yourself this info is readily available everywhere

pot into the smallest pots you got first then pot up into next size up when the roots are coming out the bottom, keep repeating this the whole time you are in vegetative growth. 18/6-24/0
water when the plant needs it you can tell this by judging the weight of the pot, feel the weight when you first water then keep checking it until it feels a bit weightless but dont let it get to dry or plant will wilt. you will probably get a few wilts before you get the hang of jusging the water but dont worry too much give them a good feed then they'll spring back up.
keep em on plain water for first week then get them on 1/8 strength bio bizz grow with every watering
as soon as they're heads are above soil they need light preferably flourescent t5 or envirolites but if your going to use hps they can be used from a distance.
if you havent got time to read a book m8 are you sure you got time to do this. they take a lot of looking after, plus theres nothing like having the information you need at hand. the indoor grow bible just about covers everything in the basics a lot of his more "advanced" stuff is a bit off the mark but for basics hes pretty much spot on. prob be pennys on amazon.
good luck with your stuff i'll pop in from time to time n see how your doing but you gotta find stuff out for yourself as well dude its the only way to really learn dont expect loads of advanced growers to come in and tell you every little detail you gotta do some of the work

alright man thanks, im prety excited right now the closet im using to plant in is basically a 7ft tall x 5ft wide and 3ft deep box lol and its white so im thinkin itll work out prety good for the setup, and for the lights i got 2 flourescant lights that are about 4ft long im gonna mount in the closet by rope and adjust the heights as needed. and now that i think of it my moms got a bunch of flower pots of all sizes i can BORROW from her lol sorry bout the ramblin i had a really good night

alright lastnight i planted one of the seeds and tonight i watered for the first time as to the soil was fairly moist already the first night. should i have watered it or is there any need to anyways?

hi there just thought i would throw in my 2p

what light you using for flowering if you can try and get a hps people always think there extreme on electric but i use a 400w hps and my computer uses more power than that lol

as for the fluros i used to use them for veg and there good try standing them at the sides of the plant vertical and not the top this will give a more rounded sorce of light as the plant gets bigger making it easier to get light to lower branches making them strong enough to produce somthing worth while.

also dont buy any books if you can help it imean the reason we join websites like this is to give and resive help and advice on cannabis so just use this website its good there are a lot of good people.

person above is right when you start using nutes keep them low as possable as not to scare the crap out of your plant and murder.

it take it slow. if you need help as questions and you will be growing like a pro in no time

i actually am just going to be using a couple of flourescant lights the entire time. as of now theres no plant so i wont take any pics yet, im still waitin for the lil guy to poke his dam head outa the dirt lol but with the light situation i actually have some money problems right now and really low on cash so thats actually the reason for just using flourescents, kinda sucks but oh well.

also, awesome idea with the lights, i woulda never thought of standing them on the sides...hmm, clever lol and as soon as it starts sprouting ill be posting some pics

i used to do the side thing when i started cause i couldnt afford a reflector and crap
i used to just use energy savers but now i use the environlight for starting my clones and a hps for the last few weeks of veg but the fluros do a great job for smaller amounts of plants also a big thing is the whole how long should i leave em on ..

for veg i use 24hr screw the 18/6 why nmot use the extra 6 hours for veging the plant you only need darkness when you flower so the plant can break down sugars and suchforth

alright, plant started sproutin over night, just got home from work a lil bit ago and i now have it under a trouble light wit flouresant daylight bulb in my closet which is basically a white box lol its bright as fuck in there ha but anyways im expecting it to grow a lil over night so i will probably be posting a few pics tomarow afternoon, and im also gonna be going to the store to grab a Y splitter and some more bulbs as to i just got lucky and my mom had a few daylight bulbs any ideas or anything feel free to post

so what type of grow you going to try just straight up or scrog

just topped my big bud this morning it is so small i have topped it after it grew 10 branches and now im going to veg for a while and get some chicken wire on a table (old glass table removed glass lol)

and let the branches wrap round a bit and see what happens im going to go buy a new 400w hps for the plant and see how it does. Never done a scrog yet tis my first lol
