First Grow (midgrade) CFL and sunlight

Started this kind of as a joke with a buddy but kept it going after it started to look nice. Started Germinating 10/2 and started flowering 11/29. Im growing it in Miracle Grow potting mix with fert. Ive heard to stay away from it but its worked well thus far and I didnt know any better when I started.

Up until last week its only source of light was direct sun light. I work nights so Im able to move it around throughout the day. Last week I purchased 3 40w cfl's and have been running those from the time I lose sunlight until I put her to bed. I was watering every day up until 11/25 and now Im watering every 2-3 days.

Only problems so far are a few leaf tips have yellowed slightly, the stems seem thin, and I burned one fan leaf with a cfl. Let me know how you guys think its looking so far and where I should go from here.

First thing how can I get m,y pics to show up as thumbnails instead of the full pic?

And second should I be putting my plant in the direct sunlight as much as possible or should I stick to the cfls?'

I would say pick sun light or cfls, but after looking at how nice your plant is doing i would say just keep up the good work the only way to truly know is to try it yourslef.

Thanks for the response. Been having our first few cloudy days out here lately so thats why I ask which method I should be focusing on.

Overall growth has slowed since weve had these cloudy days but bud production is looking good

Thanks yea Ive since ditched the foil and picked up a fan. Should I keep the fan on during its dark period also?

Also picked up a bottle of Fox Farm Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom. Should these 2 suffice though out flowering?

New pics taken today 12/11

Added a half dose of tiger bloom and big bloom this morning. Had 2 more 3-prong bottom leaves yellow and fall off today and 2 more 5-prong are starting to yellow. Im hoping the nutes will solve this before they get too bad.

Anybody know what the red stems indicate, if anything?

And should I keep the fan going during its 12 hours of dark or give the plant a break?

alota ppl say keep the fans runing all the time so it replicates wind and makes the stems stronger bigger stems = bigger buds

Honestly Im not sure what it is. To start I planted a handful of stress seeds and a couple kush and chronic seeds and from there I got about 6 plants. 2 are mine and 4 are my moms. I wasnt taking this whole thing very serious until its 3rd week so I wasnt paying very close attention.

I kept the fans on all night last night though. A little noisy but I made it through the night. :joint:

The plant seems to have stopped growing height wise as soon as I induced budding. It was putting on about an inch a day in height in veg. The last 2 weeks I think its grown an inch or two. Hopefully these nutes will help.

So today my brothers buddy came home from the Army and brought over a 600w HPS with hood ballasts etc and said I could use it until I was done. I know this is major over kill for a single plant but I figure I could run it maybe half the time to keep down on the electric bill.

Im growing in a closet maybe 3x8x6 and I need to make sure this wont bake my plant. I have a fan blowing right on the light and another on the plant. Should I be ok or would I need to make a cool tube to make it work?
