First Grow Lighting Question

So I am getting started on my first grow and I have the Delux Multi-Spectrum setup from Stealth Hydro for the top light.
SH Hydroponics, Inc. > Multi Spectrum 315 Watt CFL Light Bank
I don't think I need much more than this for the vegging phase.

I am going to be growing around 4 plants and was thinking of getting some of these for the side lighting during flowering. I was thinking of about 8 of them set up with Y splitters inside reflectors from the hardware store. Basically two for each side.

23 Watt - CFL - Compact Fluorescent - Neolite Spring Lamp - Warm White 2700K - Energy Star Qualified - Litetronics Neolite NL-23127 Light Bulb

I was originally going to do 8 42 watt CFL's from home depot, but I think that might be too much of an overkill and the price is much more too.

Thanks

looks good but you can get those 23 watters from walmart at for REAL cheap i think a 3 or 4 pack of em is like 7 bucs

my only question is if you gonna spend 200 on the cfls why not just get the hid?

thats probably the best reason you couldve told me heat=males in my experience with closet grows

a 250 hps dosnt put out too much heat and you can supplement it with a couple cfls and it works out nice

but you can def. do good with that... id like to see how they turn out using that set up without the hid

I've been thinking of cutting a hole in the ceiling of the closet into the attic and putting in some kind of fan or exhaust system to bring in fresher air, that way I can get an 400 watt HPS. Saw one on Ebay just now for $150, including shipping.
