If I we're you i'd go for bette genetics, on the liberty haze and freebies and pheno hunt some strains, takes time but the end result will be much much better.
Barney's farm is sketchy shit.

Mama always said never keep all your eggs in one basket. I would have 2 or 3 locations to hedge any potential losses.

...if you are capable of running both then a mh/hps collaboration would be best IMO. The truth is plants use a lot more of MH light but that doesn't mean it's the best for production; production is not a goal cannabis has. That's why I believe using both in conjuction with each other would suit you best... in a room that size you'd get awesome results going sodium>halide>sodium>halide>sodium (with hps on both ends) and do the opposite for veg. It should give you around 60/40-hps/mh (flower) and then 60/40-mh/hps (veg.) That's my suggestion. I've heard many people flowering with MH bulbs but I don't know about HPS for veg so much, sure it'll work but IMO it wouldn't be as efficient (for vegetative phases) as the MH of the same wattage.

ok thanks alot .. That's sounds like a good idea but I have 2 rows of 6 hoods so it would have to be hps/mh/hps/MH/hps/mh

HMHMHM
MHMHMH
m= metal halide
H=high pressure sodium
if you were inclined to run a mixed spectrum id go with a configuration like this so every plant is going to benefit from the mixed spectrums

but i have ran a mixed spectrum to veg before 2x600, HPS and 1000MH on a mover, my results didnt get too crazy diffrent, but i noticed the foliage is a helluva lot sturdier and thicker when vegged with HPS as opposed to soft delicate leaves with the MH. just an observation, didnt effect yeild in my opinion, but it wasnt really a scientific test.
