So, my friend and I came up with the great idea of growing, we took a seed from some nug we just finished smoking and germinated it.
2 days later we planted it.
Current goals for the harvest:
#1:compact, stealthy yield - Going to start flowering when the plant reaches 6inches, going to try and keep the plant a little taller than a foot.

#2: Have a successful yield without adding fertilizers, food, nutrients and all that shit, just plain water and light.

Journal:
Aug. 23rd -
Started germination using towel method.

Aug. 24th -
Checked the seed and no sign of taproot emerging.

Aug. 25th -
Checked the seed today and clearly can see the raproot, maybe half an inch long.
I took the seed out of germination and planted taproot down in soil with one 13W Fluroscent light above it.

Aug. 26th -
Switched the lighting to (2) 13W Fluroscents, later that day I put in another 13W Fluroscent. Now we got 3. Slowly going to upgrade.

Aug. 27th -
Bought a Y-splitter from Ralph's for 2$. Also bought a 40W CFL for 15$.
Going to put them in tomorrow morning.

Aug. 28th -
Went to put the 40W bulb and the Y-splitter in and noticed that the plant sprouted, has 2 jagged, and 2 round leaves.

Aug. 29th -
Checked plant, probably at 2 1/2inches.

Aug. 30th
Checked the plant, now at 3 inches, slightly curved stem, probably nothing.
Temperature check, 81F.
Going to start marking each watering day.
Watered today at, 12:05AM

Going to keep updating this at least once a week.

If anyone has any feedback, please leave it here, I would like some posts on this thread, any advice or anything, thanks.

While I admire your desire to grow, I must say you have no grasp on the task at hand. Just plain water and light will only guarantee that you fail goal #2. You must feed plants. You'll see what I mean when your plant turns yellow and dies soon. It's cool though, because you've not invested much time learning and only a few bucks, so go for it.

So you're saying that I need to feed the plants, what did they do 1,000 years ago when all they did is put the seed in the ground and watered it?

The ground is made of soil which is made of lots of stuff, but most importantly it has nutrients in it. Plants need a full range of the macro and micro nutrients to thrive.

If you choose a very well-made potting mix, you could go with "only water", but only because the soil is enriched.
If you use a crappy mix with no nutrition, the plants will turn yellow and die.

I like being natural, too, but feeding plants just water is just as silly as going on a water fast yourself.
Instead, you could provide them with what they need so they grow into amazing buds.

It should be good for vegetative growth.. You won't need to feed until a week or two after your seeds sprout, depending on the type of soil you use.

I am not familiar with that brand..
For seedlings (after a week or two) you should do 1/4 strength nutes. Don't get them on the leaves, either.. just the dirt.

Read the directions or call the people who make it. They will help a lot more. Ask for application rate for tomato seedlings, etc.
