I started with 3 plants from seed. One had problems and started to die so i yanked it. One of other two, after 2 weeks of 12/12, grew into a FULL blown male with balls EVERYWHERE almost over night, it was rediculous. I check them daily, so I yanked it early. So, now I am down to one (female thank god) and just thought I'd get some opinions. MG soil mixed with organic, 21k lumens at 2700k and now using MGBB 15-30-15. It is about 3 1/2 weeks into flowering. Not as far along as I thought, but it took a while for them to even start showing gender. Now its really picking up, it is about 2 1/2 feet tall. Thank in advance for the feedback. <ADDED NEW PICS> Will these just give me a bunch of popcorn, or will they fill out?

For a first grow, she is looking very nice. Reflective material would help you more than someone with 400W or higher mainly because you will be maximizing your available light to the plant.

Get Mylar 2mm reflective sheets, they are one of the best reflective materials out there

Also, I recommend LST as it will help keep your plants from getting into the light and burning themselves

Didn't even know what LST was, (n00b first grow) but it looks like a very interesting technique. I think I may actually try that on my next grow, and get some reflective material as well. I appreciate the recommendations. I've read as much as I thought I possible could, but I am learning daily...thanks!

yeah, well maybe on the next grow. I have a 400w HPS/MH combo system priced out, so I can change bulbs from veg to flower. I know the yield will probably be low this way with CFL's, just hope I've done enough for good potency. It's for personal use only, so quality over quantity is perfectly fine for me. I started the grow off with 2 100w halogens! After reading up a bit, I punched myself in the face, and decieded to go CFL for now then upgrade for the second grow. Not really that complicated, but more detailed variables are at play than I originally thought when growing. Like I said, first one, live and learn I am.

Yea dude, it's the way to go! I got 1.8 zips off of a 2 foot tall plant I grew indoors with CFL's and mylar for my first grow because of LST I think!
Here's some pictures of my current grow with major LST :)

Nice! Definately gonna give it a go next time around. Good looking grow you have going on there by the way. I would be stoked to get that much off of one plant, and it makes perfect sense to do it that way. Thanks again for the feed back. I'll update photos in a week or so.

P.S. I looked at your other grow "journals", VERY NICE results!
