First Grow, How does she look so far?

having some bottom leaves wilt and yellow, maybe 3 or four, any ideas? Also how close can my plant get to the cool tube? right now I have her leaning but supported by a stake. She is starting to smell good.

four weeks into flower. still giving nutes, will switch to rainwater in one week. some hairs starting to turn red/orange. a few hints of purple so far as it's purple trainwreck. I hear the real purple will come thru very late in flowering?

What's with the rain water? Your plants look great. As you are only five weeks into flowering you shouldn't stop feeding yet. You know that, right? And try adding one of those CO2 buckets next time around. In a small space like that CO2 would be inexpensive for you. Nice job.

Edit: I think the purple will come out stronger if you can give the plant a temperature differencial of about 20 degrees between day and night.

I don't understand why you would cut of nutes unless your OD'in your plants with miracle grow. Dude whether you believe me or not flushing doesn't matter after the cure. and Im sure many people will argue with me but those people also haven't done a test by flushing one and not the other. I wish you had two plants to see for yourself...

I appreciate the input. still learning a lot. I do have a homemade co2 diffuser with an airstone and 2 litre bottles. As for the rainwater, I have heard good things about using it as I am not real good with getting PH and other shit right when it comes to the water. I just figure rainwater is easier. When do you guys suggest ending the nute cycle if ever? TIA

Have lost almost all old fan leaves, a/c was out and I think it got a little hot for about 48 hours. also lost power for a couple hours during light cycle. Is it normal to have just buds on stems as seen in my pics? I expected it to be a little bushier. do the leaves falling off mean its mature? any input helps.

Your plants look really good! I've read that when the fan leaves begin to yellow and fall then it is a sign of maturity. I believe it takes anywhere from 8 to 10 weeks for a plant to be ready for harvest, but some strains are different than others and can be harvested earlier. Do you have a tiny handheld microscope? You should check the trichomes on the buds and see what colors they are. I hear that is the best way to determine when to harvest. You can find those microscopes at radioshack.

all fan leaves gone. trichs are getting more cloudy.

Yes I understand that a lack of nitrogen can cause leaves to yellow and fall, but it is also a natural process that occurs as the plant pulls all the energy out of the leaves and puts it in the buds. This usually occurs the last couple of weeks in the flowering.

If you were to flower and still use nutes with nitrogen your leaves wouldn't yellow... well that depends on if you flush or not. after a flush then they will yellow out. Im jsut saying it's not a valid judge of maturity in a plant.

looking for suggestions on when to harvest. I know everyone says to wait til you see a few amber triches, but if I am looking for a more heady, active high, which i am, would you consider chopping when all triches are cloudy? I have seen maybe a half dozen solid amber triches on the plant, while the remaining are cloudy with a few clear ones. also i have noticed some new bud growth in the past few days with new white hairs portruding.. even tho it is day 63 of flower... What are peoples thoughts? Thanks!!

I am a newbe on the growing but have read a ton and I am also looking for an active high. The suggestions are to harvest when there are about 10% amber triches. Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes when you smoke. I will be harvesting in about three weeks and looking for the same outcome.
