First grow hermie

Hi everyone! This is my first post here. I started my first grow in March indoors in a 2'x2' tent. I got the seeds from a friend that had a hermie in his tent on his last grow. It was caused by a faulty timer and turned all the plants in his tent.
I flipped to 12-12 around the end of April. Yesterday I found this. After closer inspection I found a few more on one of the plants.
I would like to know if this is just in the genetics now or I screwed something up. I'm using promix hp with RO water. Maxigro during veg and Maxi bloom and kool bloom for flower. With Calimagic the whole time. I had a very slight RH problem early on in veg but has been pretty good since.

Ideally do not grow seeds from plants that have hermied , it will influence the seeds to do the same afaik. Some strains do this exactly like in the pic usually due to stress , OR right right at the end of growing when theyre ultra ripe and trying to pollinate themselves (they might not even be fertile if coming out of a female calyx) so you might be ok as long as there are no other major stressors (heat?watering ,feeding etc)

'balls' are a whole different matter , like the actual male pollen sack on a small tendril that will eventually burst open and spread pollen everywhere(almost guaranteed anyway). That would be a 'true' hermie.

Youll have to watch carefully at this point and see what happens if you run with her.

Welcome to the world of growing, you and countless others have or are going through the same thing,it’s mainly because of over breeding, the days of good solid strains are going to be a thing of the past so it seems
