yeah youll be fine man. i wouldnt mist at all. you actually want the top soil to be crusty dry and the cups SUPER light before watering again. i honestly didnt water until i transplanted at like 2 and a half weeks! although you should keep the soil moist til they pop...

you will see growth soon. the pH is a lil high, but nutes will fix that when you start feeding anyway...or at least help
This is more in referance to something that has an established root system. A seed needs moisture to open. even then the tap root will only survive a few hours with bone dry soil (the top 1/2 inch) so I would recommend against this but do what works for you.

So I was moving my pots, and what did I saw? something trying to stick its lil heads above the ground :weed:, super excited so I think in next couple of days I should see some sprouting in both of my pots, like I said super excited lol.

lol man if u read the first few pages of my thread...you can be as excited as you want! rw is right about pacing yourself, it applies to all the aspects of growing. dont do anything rash. being excited about new sproutlings and naming them isnt overkill in my book however lol. i love the name mercedes. works.

anyway dabumps, acid watered the cups he planted in before the seeds went in (obviously) and therefore, especially considering the soil mix he used, wont need to water again probably for a good long while. i didnt water after planting for 2 and a half weeks, and only watered then cause it was transplanting time. read my post a lil more carefully, and you will see that we are suggesting the same thing :-)

Makes sense. I used 40% FFOF 40% Happy Frog and 20% perlite so my soil drained / dried FAST so I had to mist the top a little every day due to the fact that it would dry out almost immediately. I had holes in my cups too though...

I'm not doing anything rash. I'll just let it be...just water, some nutes later on and that's it, the rest is up to mother nature ;)

But I a got a question about my light setup, as u guys can see on the 1st page of this thread that I got T5 panel rite above the pots and two 125w cfl's on the sides, would it make any difference if I would switch the T5 with cfl's, what I mean is put the cfl's horizontally above the pots and put the T5 panel on the inside wall of the box, what you guys think? would that make any difference? Each of the 125w cfl pumps out 8000 lumens so by having them both horizontally I would have around 16000 lumens on the pots instead of only 8000 from the T5 panel..any advice is always welcome, thank you guys and have a nice and "sunny" day ;)

She's up!! I would want to put the stronger light on top of plants. I use reflective heat barrier insulation on my walls, so don't worry side lighting, plus I have a 400w hps. So you may want to put them there or go buy space blankets at walmart (there are mylar) put them on the side and put all the light on top. Now you can think of more stuff.lol I don't remember what you are growing in...rw

Hey rw. Thank you sir, inside of my box is covered with panda film so I have some reflection in there, I was just thinking to switch the lights, put the T5 on the inside wall of my grow box and put two of those cfls horizontally rite above the pots.

nice man sounds great! i wasnt saying you were doing anything rash, btw. just to clear that up! lol.

yeah having more intense light above is good. side lighting also good. think of how it is in mother nature as you mentioned. light comes from up. leaves grow with respect to that. :-) looking geeewwwd tho keep up the good work!

Thank you Rad, yeah I switched the lights and will see, and I didn't tell ya but the girls are not in the solo cups any more, I was doing lots and lost of reading and majority of ppl said that if your grow autos they should be planted rite in their final pot, so I got them seeds out of solo cups and put them in the 3 gallon pots, without doing any damage to the seed as we can see ;)
