First Grow Ever and Using an Aerogarden

The waiting is the HARDEST part,,, What I do is check them in the morning ,, and check them 11 hrs later (the plant is at a friends place)... I never spend more than 10 min with it and It does go faster,,, If you sit and watch them .. it will seem like they will never show ..

Ok I think I'm finally getting some signs of the sex of these plants. Out of the pictures I think I'm 2 girls and 2 boys. It may be a little too soon to know so help me out please.

Each picture is a different plant. On the ones I think are females if you look hard you can see a small white hair.

Out of my 5 plants I ended up with 2 females. Today I untangled the roots and killed off the boys. I think today is when I'll officially call my plants flowering. Let the big buds begin.

what kinda nutes are u using? I usually start my flower cycle with 24hrs of dark and a fresh res of budding nutes then 12/12, i can usually sex my plants 3 days into 12/12.

i have an AG it works great except the fact i jus found out my plants are males :-(waste of time i got more germinating hoping for a girl :-)

I have an AG too, but still use flowering nutes. i only use the AG nute tabs when they are seedlings first couple weeks then switch to a stronger vegg nute and finally a budding nute like Dr. Hornby's big bud. Are you buying seeds to start with? if so think about trying some autoflowering strain, they do great in the aerogarden.

^^^^ pic 2 I'm thinking is pretty sure a male, pic 1 maybe. Pics 3 and 4 I can't really see anything distinctly male or female.

I'm using Fox farm nutes Big Bloom, Tiger, ??, started with the Cherry tomato nutes but I couldn't keep the plants happy and growing green. Once I switched they've stayed green and happy.

Not sure if it's too small or not. I think if you use for just the reservoir and remove the lid and put CFLs hanging above the plant you can get a decent plant or 2 or 3. I know with 5 growing they were sucking about a gallon of water in 3 days and if they all happened to be girls I think I'd be stuck with killing at least one of the weaker ones once they got bigger.

Update: I got 3 plants still growing I'm pretty sure my small plant is a boy but since I only see one nut so far I decided to let it keep growing to make sure. The one plant is 31 inches and the other is 25 inches. I've included the pictures below of each of their pistols....I hope. I am new so hopefully I didn't misdiagnose sex.

7 days into flowering and I did a scheduled flush and added Tiger Bloom and Grow Big at half strength. Not sure if I should still be doing half strength? Plants are 37" and 31" and both starting to get buds, but still tiny and I'm hoping that is normal...I think it is...shit it's only been 7 days since the first hair though it took almost 3 weeks to get a sign. I'm getting some curling of the tips, not sure what that is since they had been growing green for about 3 weeks.

Looks like an MG defiency add 1/2 tsp of crushed epsom salt per gallon.

these links can be helpful in identifying plant probs:

15 Days into flowering. Had a little nute burn I think so I'm killing the nutes for a little bit. One girl is 50 inches and the other is about 43 inches. I want them to stop fucking growing they are getting to big for my setup.

i was wondering if the aerogarden has two plug ins?? one for the lamp and the other for the water system?? cuz i was wondering if you can plug the lamp into a timer

also i was wondering how do u take the seeds out the preseeded pods or can u buy diff seed pods for the aerogarden

Buy a figure 8 plug at radioshack to separate the lights from the unit. For the seed pods I just cut a sponge to the same size of the original sponge things. I have read though you can just clean out the ones that come with the aerogarden.

23 days into flowering and the buds seem to be getting a little bigger. Did the scheduled week 9 on the fox farm schedule which included all 3 of the trio pack. The plants are now too big for my setup and and don't want to top them at this point so I think I will just keep raising the lights. The plants are 55 and 52 inches tall.
