Hey guys this is my first grow and figured I would make a journal.
I will add pictures of the grow box when I get home but basically it is a huge tupperware container standing vertically. I have a huge shop fan behind it with a huge cutout so it pushes air in. And on the top of the lid I have an exhaust port with carbon filter over. The result is a flow of air from the bottom of the container to the top and then drawn out through carbon filter. This then emptys into the room that I am growing in, the basement. The box is in a closet in the basement and I have a Pure Plug ozone generator in the basement on the wall to ensure there is no smell.
For lighting I have a 3 socket fixture on the top of the box with 3 splitters. There are 4 46w 6500k CFLs along with two 35w 6500k bulbs. On each side I have a power strip. These serve as side lighting however I have not get the plug in sockets yet, I will tomorrow. On each side I am going to have 2 more 35w 6500k and 2 23w 2700k bulbs for mixed spectrum.
I am growing in Fox Farm Ocean Forest and I have FF 3 part nutes along with R/O water.
So anyway, I got my Critical Kush, which is OG Kush x Critical Mass from Barneys seed and I threw the seed in a cup of R/O water for about 24 hours and then planted it in a small planter with the small tap root facing upward. After two days I checked to see how she was doing and had saw that she anchored herself using the 'U' method that cannabis seeds seem to do. A day later she sprouted and within like five hours she was upright looking towards the lights.
So today is the day she sprouted, here is a picture of her from my phone.
