So the I decided I should invest some cash. I was already haveing a bit of a heat issue when I up graded to 3 42 watt cfl. So I decide to go with the T5 4' 8 instead of a hps. And since I was haveing a heat problem I talked to a few ppl here and I went with a 4" inline fan and carbon filter. And since Im a noob I tore the sleeve off the filter thinking it was just there for shipping "tard move I know". So I just got the fan up tonight and so far its at 79 F. Its looking better a few of my plants were not doing so well and Im useing the miracle grow moisture soil but I flushed all the plants. They were probally looking bad because of heat stress at night when I closed the door it got between 85-90 and I know thats to hot. Next investment is gonna be a Co2 tank but that will have to wait.

your setup looks fine.
i started with a couple of 4' floros and added something new every now and then to keep up with growth.
dont disreguard the hps though, i eventually got a 400w and it really is amazing, i can only imagine what a 1000w can do.
if you are a newb like me spend your money on more light and ventilation before going after a co2 bottle.
there are cheap ways to create co2, ive tried a few. they can be messy but effective in a small room. but you need optimal light and temps for it to work.

Well Im about one week from flowering now. Its been 2 weeks since I topped them so I will wait another week even though im very anxious to start flowering. Here are some pics and the camera is a piece it focuses on everything but the plant so the pics suck.

I also use T5s and love them! I threw in a 150watt hps for flowerin aswell and had great results. the HPS is makes about the same amount heat as my T5s. CHeck my last grow journal in my signature lots of good pics.
In your first pic its male for sure. Kill it now
Your second is a Hermie or Hermaphordite. Kill it too the sick fuck.
Those sativa might ture out to be very good you naver know till the are fully finshed. as that weed you got them from may have not been. ALso they will triple in size were your indicas will most likley only double. So there will need to need some topping and/or training going on with those.
Other than that looking sweet!!

Thanks matt ya I figured no matter what the sativa that im growing will be much better than when I bought the bag. The hermi and male are the 2 that suffered mag. def the most. Im surprised I got as many females as I didn't considering how much they were prolly stressed in veg. Im gonna repot all in 5 gallon buckets tomm. No hydro store anywhere close so I got miracle grow organic soil, pulverized lime, still gotta get some perlite though. Also got a 12 mega pixels hd camera for christmas w00t!

Ok im about 40 days into flower........and Im getting a lil dissapointed in the
T5. Its doing good just seems a couple of weeks behind what a hps could do. So for my next grow i will be getting either a 600 or a 1000 watt and just use the t5 for veg. But I dunno only time will tell. Anyway heres some more pics.

I have been wondering about you. Plants look very nice. Are you using differnt spectrum bulbs in your t5s fror flowering? or are you using the same ones you did for veg. if your using the same ones this could explane the slower flowering rate.
I threw in a 150watt HPS with my t5s and this helped ALOT in yeild and rate of flower. I got it at home depot for $90. they also have 70wattHPS. find it in the oudoor lighting section.

I'm using the same spectrum as veg. 4 blue and 4 red. Someone told me this would be ok for both. I'm sure it would help if I went ahead and put in 4 more of the red, but I live in Arkansas......When I got my t5 3 bulbs broke in shipping. They sent 3 more only 1 broke that time, then I got the 1 so its just a pain in the ass by the time i got 4 in they would hopefully be done. Thanks for the info on the hps but ill prolly just wait for to get my taxes back.....that 300 xtra the government is giving back to promote economy sounds good

I prefer the 400's over 1,000's,the 400's are easier to put light exactly where you need it & they dont produce nowehere near the heat levels of the 1,000's do, leaving you able to put the light very close to the top of the canopy.
IMO your better off using 2 400's over a single 1,000.

Well I'm pretty sure I figured out why they are flowering so slow. The replacement bulbs that I got are not the same spectrum as the flower bulbs. I fell like a fuckin tard not noticing this until now. The 2 bloom bulbs that came with it and didn't break say "bloom" on them and put off a redish light. The 2 of those that broke don't say bloom and are clearly not the same spectrum, more of a white. Ill take some pics tomorrow. UGH!
