First grow, cloest 400w MH/HPS

Planted April 11th from seeds.

Using Miracle Grow potting soil to start. Watering every 2 days. I will be getting a new fan sometime this week to help bring those temps down a few more degree's.

Everyone of those plants is a different height. So funny how they do that.

Yea I got 3 of them are NL, 1 is a random free seed they sent. I am going to try and LST 1 or 2 of them and see how it goes.....They are a bit stretched because I got antsy waiting for my 400w to come in and so I started them under some fluor at first....

mean, nice little set up you got there. i wish i had a whole closet to grow in haha
hope they turn out female.

Day 12:

I watered them last night with the first does of Nutes. I used 1/4 Tbs of Big Bloom from Fox farms.

Temps still a little high, I have seen 90" in closet but not much I can do about it right now. I think the plants will be fine as long as I don't go any higher. Usually its 86" in the closet.

i had the same temp problems initially. . . ended up moving grow out of the closet. . . good luck!

You're brave getting after it with the nutes already. Be sure to update us.

Day 16:

I transplanted them Thursday night to bigger pots using Fox Farms Ocean Forest. I watered them after the transplant with 1/4 strength Grow Big.

On Friday I decided to switch them to 18/6 and I swear this morning I saw more growth then in the last week!!

In a strange attempt to mimic mother nautre, I actually shut off my 400 watt MH at 7:00 pm and kept my 4 CFL's on. At 7:30(30 minutes later) the CFLS go off. Everything stays off (except exhaust fan comes on every hour for 15 minutes) until 12:30 am when the 4 CFL's come on first...and then at 1:00 am the 400 Mh comes back up. This sort of mimics a sun up/sun down method to me and eases them into light mode and dark mode...

I am still a bit concerned about the yellow edges however. You will also notice from the pictures that one of them seems to be drooping its leaves (plant 2) DOWN, while another one actually curls its leaves UP (plant 3) at the edges...!! If anyone has any suggestions or reasons why they may be doing that, please send me a PM!!

Day 22:

Time for an update!!

After switching to 18/6 I see immediate improvement in grow rate. These things are growing FAST now. I water them every 4th day. My last watering I did last night and it had 1/4 strength Grow Big in it. This morning they are looking SOOO healthy I had to update the grow journal!!

Not much else to say right now...here are the pics!

Oh by the way, this is my first grow ever, I was considering trying LST on 1 of them...think I should try it....?? If so..when to start?
