I don't think it went too well. We'll see though. One of the clones looks flat out dead. I'm going to have to do some research to see what I did wrong. Gonna leave em in there though to see if they come around.

yooo so how is that organic mg soil going... im using the same stuff on my grow.
Alright. So far man, the new seedlings look different than my last seeds in the normal MG potting soil. These seedings are a darker green, darker than they should be I think so perhaps the organic soil is too hot for seedlings. Find out more as time goes on. Just a note, these seeds are from an unknown bag and are not of the same strain that the already growing plants are.

Here's some pics. Day 26 I believe.

Here's a pic of a suffering clone.

Still have not had a chance to get the flower box built but this topping should give me a week of time. If this cloning method of using soil doesn't have a good success rate for me, I'm going to try the bubbler method.

Might be a silly question, but can you use Rooting Powder for the bubbler method? Or is it suggested to get a gel?

doesnt look too healthy, i wouldnt abandon the cloning in soil method just yet, look around on the forum first and try to establish where you went wrong as most people manage to clone very succesfully in soil most of the time, im not saying it definately was down to you and dont mean to offend in any way but thats just my take on it.

Also just wondering if you could help me on a problm i have had tonight if not no worries but i had 2 power cuts tonight, first being an hour long while the lights were on and then about an hour later, had another power cut about half an hour long, do you think this will stress them at all? they are only a few days old, thanks

peace

have you checked the ph of you water yet? A couple plants either could be overwatered or starting to suffer from high or low ph..

Here's my method of cloning it is inexpensive and has 100% success rate for me so far. Not that advanced but have few grows from start to finish and cloned on my first go with success. Picture below was my first grow and I used CFL'S the middle plant believe it or not was my clone I forced into flowering about 2 weeks after rooting.(Only took 6 Days to root. I did with grow shoot not a top)

What you need:

-Cup of water
-Sharp cutting tool scissors or razor blade(make sure they are clean)
-Flower pot larger than the base of a 2 liter bottle and of course your choice of soil mix some people use the cubes
-Clone Powder or Gel I use the powder myself (Take Root works plenty of others)

Now:

Cut your branch of a 45 degree angle and place what will be the stem in the cup of water. Get your container with soil ready and Clone powder Dip the stem in cloning powder get it good then place it in the soil. now Take a spray bottle of good water that you have been watering your plants with(no ferts) and mist the leaf area. Now take your 2 liter cut the bottom off leave it several inches taller than your cutting. Now place the 2 liter over top of your cutting securing it lightly in the soil, take plastic wrap or I use zip lock bag ziplock it over the top of the 2 liter and zip it closed.(or seal plastic)

Now keep it under a 23-26watt CFL for a week or two(may root within 5-6 days) and twice a day take off the plastic bag and mist the leaf area of the plant and little bit of soil with the spray bottle)

After it has grown a good root system transplant or let it veg a little and flower it when you want. You could even put it straight into flowering I did 2 weeks later and it violently grew to be only 4 inches shorter in height than the mother within 2-3 weeks.

Looks like your doing good though I would flush them good with straight water and get some Fox Farm Grow Big for ferts it works great. Off to great start can't wait to see these babies at harvest!

Found pics of my first clone the cutting and around 3 1/2 weeks old first pic clone is the middle plant.

Thanks for the advice Doc.

Thank everyone else for stopping by.

As for the update. Jesus, I never thought I would say this, but I'm getting worried about how fast they are growing. I'm having to move the lights every day and I just ran out of space on last nights move. I fully expect that I'm going to have to make a makeshift tent by keeping the lid up and draping some mylar around it for now. I've been refining my idea for the flower box so I think I'm ready to tackle it Sunday.

The plants are looking wonderful. They have loved the transplanting and watering schedule. The damage that you see is mostly just old damage. A couple of them have light burns from the past couple of days of fast growth while i was at work. The seedlings got burned pretty bad from that MG organic soil. It might be alright for established plants, but I definitely don't suggest it for seedlings. I personally won't be using it anymore. It drains like crap and like I said it is just too hot.

uuhh. You might want a little more height than that. Those babies are gonna triple in size. You flower room should be bigger than your veg chamber. What is the footprint of the flower box?
