figured i'd take a few more pics to show the yellowing is not nearly as bad as it seems (from that last canopy shot i posted). Yes, there is some, but its only on the bigger fan leaves aka what im assuming to be the ones that are closest to being done (the biggest/yellowish leaves are connected to the larger kolas). Anddd more pics showing the purpleish hues... im really starting to think (hope) this is just how my girl is supposed to look because it's getting pretty :)

Thanks for stopping by mellow! Yea, it seems to be a pretty unproven debate about molasses. For now I'll just keep it as simple as possible. As for the yellowing of my leaves, im pretty sure it's just an N deficiency as the girl nears the end of her lifecycle. You're probably right about the temp problem, my cab stays around 65 or below at night... its hardly breaking 75 with lights on now that the temps have gotten much colder outside.
as far as the cold, when we have a known purple strain, we like to push the "cold" envelope to get those pretty fall colours.
less temps = less bugs. bet you haven't seen a spidermite in a while. they breed exponentially less in <80 conditions.

as to the molasses, there's very little doubt that used properly it can most certainly enhance plant nutrition.... "properly" i think is the part that's under debate... and definitely one of those "less is more" scenarios.
it's really easy to overdo it, as it has cal/mag, potassium, iron, (and the sulfured stuff, sulfur, obviously) -- all of which can cause nute burn and/or lockout in excess.

bet you (almost) can't wait! *drool drool*

oh trust me, it's soooo hard to wait. And i guess i should mention that there are a few purple stems on fan leaves... they've been there just about since flowering started, just never thought twice about it lol. Yea, i think the fact that molasses is in itself an organic ("organic" as in not a single chemical) definitely goes into play and each brand is obviously going to have different levels of nutrients in it, so I have to agree on the less is more part. Until I have proper testing equipment I might stick with the slightly more stable "non organic" stuff ;)

All i gotta say is thanks, and it's all due to massive amounts of reading before diving in. If there is one tip i can give to any newcomer: KEEP THOSE LIGHTS CLOSE AS FUCK. I have even had my lights touch (not for extended periods of time) the BUDS, with, it appears, little to no ill effects. As long as your air is moving, those bulbs can virtually touch almost any growth... once you see a burn on the leaf its time to raise them... Thanks for stopping by penyajo!

good answer! purple stems on fan leaves is (to some strains) a normal part of senescence... although it can indicate k def but i somehow doubt that's the case here.

if you're still interested in feeding the microherd with carbs but want a more predictable sugar, you can use dextrose as well (available at most "supplements for body builders" -type stores)

Will definitely keep that in mind. And yea... if it really is a K def then well i dont know what to do other than feed it straight bananas... FF Big bloom+tiger bloom combo contains quite a bit of P+K and that's the only thing this girl has received besides purified water...

i vegged them for about 45 days, so im at about 90 overall so far. I started seeing signs of sex around the 7-10 day mark. Is your grow area completely light proof during lights off?
