First Grow, Better Than I Expected

Soo, after many failed attempts at hydro, mainly rooting & light problems, and a transplant from hydro to soil, i finally got some decent plants started and also got my hydro to start working after i took time to fix basic things. I been vegging for about 4-5 weeks maybe, just transplanted these rootbound plants into these 3 gal grow bags earlier today, i was thinking of topping them, would it be alright for me to top them right now right after i transplanted them or is that too much shock?

Strain: Bagseed
Lights: 14x CFLs after transplant, 26 & 30 watts Dual Spectrum Mixture
(had the lights pretty close for most of the veg so they got real bushy but now i raised the lights and added sup. lights around it.)
Soil: Fox Farm Ocean Forest
Nutrients: Botanicare Pure Blend Pro, Botanicare Cal-Mag, Botanicare AquaShield

Well, i ended up topping one of them, its been 5 hours & havent seen any growth from where i cut, but we'll see
the one i topped is growing in all kinds of crazy directions..idk what i did, but alot of the sides ended up getting mad light apparently because the secondary branches that develop are branching out nice & look like they could be tops..again this is my first grow so im not sure, but it does look like those are spots where buds develop and there still getting good light, pics soon

Great first grow.

I grow Soil and Hydro as well, both being my first grows I figured I would give them both a shot.

Looks like you are on your way to harvest. Keep being the pictures.

you're doing great my friend!! i like how you have the water tray covered!! very important and many people overlook that for the first few times... i would wait to see how they are doing for about a week before ya top em... but probably not a big deal...

Looks good!!

This is a never ending study with many setbacks, so stick with it bud..
