1/11/2010:
watered plants no nutes

1/16/2010:
growth finally started again after transplant, added a 2 - 32w fluorescents shop light for added light because not all plants were within the recommended 18" distance from light.

1/19/2010:
growth is really taking off, still haven't used any nutes yet. The AK48's lead the pack as far as growth speed.

Begin 12/12 light cycle and switched out 400w MH with 400w HPS bulb. Picture is before bulb switch.

2/7/2010:
watered with 1/2 strength nutes including bloom nutes. Did 1/2 strength grow big, full strength big bloom, and 1/2 strength tiger bloom. Tallest plants (untopped) are 15" tall and most of the topped ones are 12-13" tall. So far every one that I see preflowers on are females. I have this one that is real skinny and tall and lanky on the front far right of the picture that might possibly be a male but no preflowers yet.

HTG Supply 6" inline fan with growbright carbon filter, also running the HTG fan controller. Odor went away instantly and temps are maintained much better, have fan on low. Stays a nice 75 degrees day and about 62-65 at night. Humidity is alright at around 30-40%.

still no preflowers on the feminized Alaskan Ice's but they are looking really good and doing better then the AK48's now. One of them has a more sativa phenom (untopped one) and the other has more of a indica phenom (topped.)
Here is a pic of the untopped Alaskan ice with thinner leaves and standing 15" tall:

Here is a pic of the topped Alaskan ice with thicker fatter leaves. 4 main colas, and standing 14" tall:

nice grow, would you mind telling me what your feeding schedule was like for the first 4 weeks? im currently growing a hashplant haze and its only 8 days old and looks healthy but is very small. i am thinking i overfed it with nutes during the initial watering. i followed the FF feeding schedule of 2 Tbls of Big bloom with a gallon of water. A few days later I just gave it clean water.

thanks.

I didn't start using nutes until the 3 - 4 week and only used 1/4 of the recommended amount the first time. It's all above in my posts. I used ff soil which has enough nutes in it to last that long from the start.

Looking like a pretty good veg. I would distant them out a bit if you can to allow more air flow between plants and better side node growth. do you have a final female count?

I did distant them out a little bit tonight but not much since I'm trying to keep the distance optimal for a 400 watt hps which is around 22". I'm thinking 9 plants are too much for a 400 watt hps. I just checked them all tonight and 9 out of the 10 are females! One Ak48 looks like it has balls. The only ones that still don't have preflowers are the two Alaskan ice but they are feminzed seeds so hopefully they are female. I thought about half would be male and some might not germinate so that's why I went with 10 plants to start. I'm not complaining though. :). Just have to make do with space the best I can.

thats a good turn around. If you are really trying to expect some massive yield I would get more light. Im doing 10 right now and using 1600w's in flower. If you think its male ditch it, if ur not sure take a pic and post it and ill try to tell you. You onto bloom nutes? what lvls?

I'm not too worried about getting a massive yield or anything. As long as I get a decent amount from each I'll be happy. How much do you think I'll get dried per plant? I did start bloom ferts and only did half strength. Next feeding I'll do full.

just one 400w hps for nine plants right? what kind of bulb? hood? Its hard to say but thats fairly low wattage for that many plants. I assume maybe halfoz-oz per plant dried weight.

Can you post updates of the alaskan ice through the grow as well? I have the strain and want to see if I should grow it.
