Plant 1 and 2 are in AG1. Plant 3 and 4 are in AG2. I feed them Fox Farm nutes on 3/14, just been using well water the past 3 weeks. I turned off the pump in AG2 since the roots are in the res now. AG1 pump is still on because plant 1 is lacking on the roots. Both AGs have air stones going (since the start).

Seems I need to keep the pH in check more since plant 2 is yellowing. Should adding nutes help stablize the ph? I thought I read that somewhere.

Plant 1 is really struggling with the roots ... they are not even out of the sponge yet! The plant seems to be doing ok though.

The temp is on the high side. I have a fan blowing right above them.

I have bunch of lady bugs in my grow area. I know they are good to have around, but is there a point when there are too many?

Comments and suggestions appreciated!

Everything looks good, plant 1 looks like its stunted, so that probably why there isnt much root action going on. adding the nutrients should help stabilize the pH, but as long as you keep it in line everything should be good

Plant 1's roots are almost to the rez, woot!I should be able to turn off the AG pump soon.

I'd imagine they will show sex soon, within the next week? It has been 23 days since I put the seedlings in the AGs.

I can't wait to smoke it and it doesn't even have any buds yet! Hope I just didn't jinx myself. ;-)

What do you guys think?

They look great man, they will only show sex once your in the 12/12 cycle. I would keep them at 18/6 for a lil and let them veg out

These are auto-flowering Low Ryder 2 plants. I've kept them on a 20/4 light cycle.

Can't remember everything! I'll just have to keep an eye on them.

For those interested in vaporizing, I am a huge fan of The Extreme by Arizer. It make dirt weed tastes good and the buds RIU grows tastes excellent. I had the display go funky on me recently and they replaced it no questions asked, great customer service.

Great job dude hope your smoking in no time! My first grow is about two weeks behind yours but I hope to have great results too. I am doing a hempy bucket method with random bag seeds I collected over two years ago. So far I have twenty germinated. I am using old school fluorescent light tubes 4 feet long. I'll keep track of you if you keep track of me. Can't wait till our harvest and keep up the good work dude GO NOOBS!

Hey badfrog - I need to figure out how to subscribe to threads... probably make it easier to keep posted on other grows. SICC seems to be a pro at that.

I will definately check out your grow.

I'm on my fourth week (since putting germed seeds in the AG sponges). I changed out the water in the AGs today. I used a gallon jug and filled it up to 80 percent (3 liters). Then I add the FF nutes and shake it up before I put in rinsed rez.

I also added two fans I bought from Target for 7 bucks a piece.

Feeding Schedule:
Week 1 - Well Water
Week 2 - Well Water
Week 3 - FF Big Grow (1 tsp) / FF Big Bloom (.5 Tbl)
Week 4 - FF Big Grow (1 tsp) / FF Big Bloom (.5 Tbl)

Nice work bro. Plants are so tender at this young age. First Grow: Bagseed Surprise!

Thread has been poppin. Whats your light cycle? I'm using 24 hour method for my tomatoes. Setting up a T12 Fluorescent grow. Are you considering any other spectrums of fluorescents? I've been doing some research and will probably throw in a couple daylight spectrum bulbs. Can't wait for fresh ripe veggies. MMM MMM Delicious:-)

Hi baddfrog - Thanks for the info regarding subscribing, really easy once you know where it is! I have the lights hooked with to an external digital timer set for 20/4. I am going to keep them on that light cycle the whole time since they are auto-flowering Low Ryder 2 seeds. I am thinking about changing out the lights on the outside (on clamps). I read about it somewhere, but can't seem to remember what spectrum light is recommended for veg and flowering.

SICC knows his stuff. I want to affirm that spectrum, also I use cool white bulbs right now until I can afford some daylight spectrum bulbs next month. Cool white fluoros hit 41000K some only hit 30 or so. You need to be in the 40's for veg growing. Bring it down under 30 when you start flowering. Cool white to daylight are above 40's daylight is 65000K which is great for growth. Soft white and warm white are gonna get you flowering and go between the 20 and 30K range. You won't have to much temp to worry about with CFL's that's the nice thing. Keep it up!

The temp has gone down a lot since I added those two fans.

The pump (hooked up to two airstones) is making a bunch of noise now. I am going to have to exchange it at Walmart.

I also turned off AG2's pump since plant one roots FINALLY hit the water, about time.

I was reading about the differences between LEDs and HPS lights a couple days ago, it was heated debate to say the least.

My thoughts ... if LEDs grow decent bud for personal, why wouldn't you use them? They are going to save on electric bills and you won't burn down your house with them.
