galaxyhydro, is actually the worst blurple on the market. 260 par at 18inches they say, so its probably more like 200. Then, you move to the side, it will drop another whole bunch.

If you go that route, get a Mars at least.

I am not totally in favor of the electronics coming out of China trust me on that, as I have posted before on another thread I am not sure I even trust them since I not sure they are UL listed and I did see one all melted and this has been one of the reasons I been holding off. On the other hand though COBs in my situation would have to be dimmed down due to my low grow space of 5' and lower in some areas. I looked at Mars and not sure if their ballasts are beefier if that's what you mean but they did not have the UV/IR leds so I was passing on them at this time.

Here I am on my "crappy blurples" the one was a runt from the start plus I've chopped a decent amount off that one a tad early hehe. About a week/2week max left.

Edit look at what they pull from the wall. I vegged two on 200watts led flowered two with 640 wall watts led.

This seems more than perfect for what I'm trying to accomplish.

You know man, again, might be better off getting 4 cob setup from ebay, then to get those crap lights. Its alllll a scam.

$100 and some aluminum from Lowes, drillgun or rivet gun from Harborfrieht, 400 watts of a REAL spectrum, REAL watts,..

Give alot of thought to this man,

cheap and effective. Interchangable too. Down the road, upgrade to a different higher level Cob, might have to change the driver tho, but hey, its a start.

those will give you 36,000 lumens, those blurples give you around 4,000!!!!
The cob lights seem really interesting but each time I start to look into them I quickly feel I'm getting over my head.
