expect more! i meanm you probably just witnessed the fastest fattets growth they will have this life, but they still got more kick to go! the final weeks are so niceeeeee..

I totally forgot about you indican! but you've been keeping i up quite nicely, subbbbbbbbbed..
Hahaha, How's it going Guzias1! Yeah you saw the seedlings and then the ladies all grown up! haha. I'm so excited for these last weeks! Anything in particular to expect? I'm kind of expecting to "just know" when to harvest, any tips?

Definitely get the exhaust going in the tent, that is the best option. The 4" will do just fine, I use a cheap duct booster in my veg box and it keeps relatively cool, also with t5's. My tent is cooled by passive air intake/ambient room temps.
Cool! Do you think the flowering tent will be alright though? Right now the temp is pretty much perfect that's why I'm scared to take it out. I had a ducting fan but it was too loud I am sharing a wall with neighbors.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Last time I germed out of Roots Organic - original 5 for 5 hatched, 3 of them broke ground in 3 days, the other one was a straggler and I didn't think it was going to hatch so I stuck another seed in there, that seed hatched in 3 days, then a week later there was another baby growing under the 1 week old sprout. :o So they all hatched, just one of them took longer than I thought it would, the late hatchling turned out to be a male anyways.
Ok, yeah I wasn't expecting Roots to be bad for seedlings or anything just curious. I'm not sure what exactly changed from my last germ, trying to figure it out. I really don't want to blame the quality of the seeds "even though they were freebies from Attitude". Will probably keep with the paper towels or try rapid rooters for next time

That's a good question, I hooked mine up similar to yours but have my fan running on the 2nd speed. I found it works a lot better if I put the 4" Vortex on the other side of the hood. So maybe it won't be alright for you. I'm not really sure, my tent is about 1 foot smaller than yours also. Only thing you could do is try, if nothing else save up $ for a new fan.

Could've been temps, could've been the seeds, I've seen a lot of people have problems getting freebies to hatch. I hope my freebees are viable.

I've never had any issues planting straight into dirt with no humidity domes or none of that. The most I deviated from soil was coco coir, which worked pretty well but doesn't have those organic nutrients to help kick start the plants unless you add them, so they tend to grow a little slower when started in coco in my experience.

I've seen people have a lot more problems and higher failure rate using cubes and paper towels than just putting them into soil. That sucks you had a bad experience man. I would probably want to change things up a bit to. Maybe try the Coco coir, it contains Trichoderma fungus which is a fungicidal fungus that eats the fungus that cause damp off insuring a hassle free germination, so long as its properly washed. :)

Knowing when to harvest...

I picked up a microscope to help me out here..
watching the trichs turn from clear, to foggy, to amber has got to be one of my favorite pastimes
..

Once you see an actual amber trich , I'd recommend starting the straight water flush...
Also.. Let your harvest have some adequate of drying time before you smoke her!!.

I smoked my baby about 10 days after chop.. Was alright. But after curing for a week or two. Taste, and smoothness got way better.. Sonya.

Microscope and patience my friend! Almost there!

This morning I didn't have to go to work, enjoyed a nice wake&bake with a good espresso and went home to feed the ladies jammin to some Sizzla Kalonji, I am young but have a very stressful job and I've always had anxiety problems even severe panic attacks. It's amazing how much peace these plants give me in many aspects.

sounds like an excellent day, i love when days off work surprises happen, and then you get to go spend all that time around your garden :] ..

i feel ya man.. i got a fulltime job, thank gods i got one, but it sure can be wayyy stressful.... i dont know if i have anyhting, i may, i dont really even know what to consider normal.. but! i know when i was younger, pre-pot(pre anything), i used to come up with wayyy too many insane ideas, it lead me to get involved with a not so healthy lifestyle.. once i started smoking, my life changed for the better i believe, pot cools me down, actually gives me time to think about my actions before pulling triggers now.. ya, that was with the help of smoking... NOW< with growing, its a whole new world. passing time taking care of my ladies feels just as good as if im smoking, it really relaxes me, its as own medicine in its self just growing..
7 weeks, yeee!!! im just behind you about a week in one of my grows, lets see who finishes first :p

Great work so far, Indicantonio. I started reading the thread because I too am about to drop some serious scrill on a DR II 120 & Lumatek 600W. Heat issue was one of my main concerns regarding whether to get a 600 or 1k lamp, but I figure if I can get the idealistic 1g/W that is more than enough for my personal stash. Anywho, enough about me.

I would say definitely move the 4" inline over to the veg chamber; passive intake should be more than enough in your flowering chamber.

As far as how much longer til you get some gratifying buds: 2 weeks. How much longer til they're ready: 4ish weeks. As far as how you "will just know"...
1. Trichomes form along every crevasse of the plant (sugar leaves, fan leaves, calyxes, even on the stem!).
2. Trichomes go from clear, to cloudy, to amber. I prefer a 50/50 cloudy/amber mix, but to each their own. Do a little research and find what suits your taste.
3. The buds themselves begin to have a golden/silver glow to them (this is due to the massive amounts of trichomes that are amassing themselves over a small surface area, hence even from a distance they nearly glimmer)
4. The fan leaves may start to die off in the last couple weeks, usually exhibited at first as a nutrient deficiency.

Well, I'm here for the long haul, can't wait for an update.

Thank you for all that info! I just hung a tower fan thati had around horizontally almost paralel to the t5 if that doesnt work its good to know that the flower would be ok with just passive intake.

Im real happy with my tents the flower tent in my house with the 600w ballast on superlumen hehe keeps to perfect temp in the mid to high 70s

subb'd!
this is looking hawt!

Hello everybody!

Sorry I've been a little lost... Real busy with work. Well, the ladies have been going well! For the past week and a half we've been watering them with no nutes and today 02/09/2013 we heavily flushed the ladies prepping them for harvest
:weed:.

I bought a cheap $12.00 microscope and its a hell of a difference being able to see those little trichomes up close and personal.

Please I need you're help RIU, I am planning on cutting the ladies next weekend what do you think?

Here are some pics before watering them
