First Grow 300 Watt LED Fire OG Kush

Ok so I finally figured out how to use my digital camera! Ive had this thing since like 2006 and its 7.2 megapixel. Lot better than my iphone 4 camera. I figured out how to use the macro magnifying setting. So check out the new and improved pics! I think the shooting powder is making a big difference, I can tell it is pushing my plant hard with the PK. Plant using all its energy from its leaves.

Very nice! I too have just figured out my camera, sort of. Those LEDs aren't too bad. Looks like a decent yield.

Hi Sleezy,
Enjoying your grows. Do you think the the taller stalks are from being closer to the extra light reflected of the walls? Meaning it could take a bigger led?

Hi thanks for visiting my journals. This one plant is under 150w of actual power draw. I'm sure it could take a more powerful led. This grow was an experiment, and I ran out of room! If I had a bigger area, all the colas would have been the same height, because I would keep moving the tops farther away in the screen. But for an experiment gone wrong, I'm very happy and impressed with led lights an the type of buds it grows. So dense !

Planning on flushing Day 57 and Chopping Day 60. I can't imagine it going that long though... Ill be checking it on the daily. A lot of the hairs are turning red, trademark for the FIRE OG strain. I think I vegged for 33 days total. Check this journal it is detailed. I started flowering when the SCROG screen was 70% full.

Actually, I'm wondering if the room size was an asset with the small led. Had you used the same led in a larger room I wonder if production would have dropped... In a larger room the reflective power would have been much weaker. Do you think there would be a better approach with the same led? Just wondering out loud.
I'm thinking of starting out with a 4x4, 4.5x4.5, 4x6, something thereabouts and due to budget will probably start with one 500 led. So I might make the grow dimensions a little smaller to start out until more leds can be used. Make a moveable wall out of pvc and mylar. Figure out the best size for the lamp?

I was a skeptic about LED growing, so I purchased this cool little growbox and setup a 1 plant SCROG to see what would happen. This 300 watt 1 watt diode LED covers a square foot of 9. So I can go up that limit. Since this was doing so well I decided to invest the money into a bigger grow op. Have you seen my other current grow? Click my link in my signature for it.I now have a 4 x 4 grow tent with 6 $100 OG Kush under 1000 watts of LEDs. (two 500 watt 3 w diode LEDs, with a total power draw of 608 watts). So to answer your question, yes the small enclosure was an asset because it was directly in the sweet spot of the LED the whole time in mylar bouncing the light all over. Once I saw that LEDs could grow start to finish I found this experiment to be a success and go onto a bigger grow. Ya dig?

That's a pretty nifty little cab there. What did you say it was called? Nice nuggage, G. I think your grow has the more classic OG look that you see commonly on catalogs, magazines, and posters and whatnot. Mine just look weird and freakish and almost kinda' gross... Lol.

Wow, today I learned how to use the zoom button! lmao! I zoomed in to the tops of the buds and now we can start seeing trichs. I actually checked them last night and some of my smaller buds are 20-30% amber. I decided to cut down a little nug from the bottom and inspect it more. I fell under its spell under the microscope, and the sticky OG smell made me do it! I slipped it into my bong and lit that sucker up! No flushing or anything. The taste was like a sweet grass taste but the exhale smelled just like dank buds. I got really lit from that bowl let me tell ya! I don't know if I am going to wait till day 60. This looks like it might be ready soon. Im going to wait until Sunday to figure out if I am going to start the flush. Oh here is some bud porn for ya:

Believe it or not I use these volcanic rocks named "gonzo bags". Its crazy all I do is put them in my grow room and I can't smell shit! I have 2 in my grow tent and 1 in my growbox. I have to literally stick my nose to the buds or touch them to smell anything. You can buy them at home depot.

So I cut one of the colas from the broken branch today. It didnt seem to be packing on much weight like the other ones, and there were tons of red hair on it, so I decided to cut it down and start drying it. I know I know, I was being impatient. I figured I wanted the plant to focus her energy on the fatter colas, instead of trying to use its energy on the smallest, weakest, broken cola. Im just trying to justify my bad behavior. I promise I won't chop anymore of them down, and i will be sure to add this to my final weight later on. So Im going to dry it for 3-4 days, and cure it for 3 days and weigh that cola.

Hey, if you felt she wasn't pulling her weight, it makes pefect sense to sacrifice early so that the other stronger branches will get her juice.

that there branch looks about 100 times better than the dry fluff trim I smoked a couple a days ago. That's gonna get you really high.

Dude, the girl at the shop recommended their Fire OG Kush, I thought of you, so I bought it. I'm higher right now on this Fire than I was on the Pheno A. Fire is BOMB. And one of my FAVES.
