Hello everybody, i used to watch from the shadows at all the grows on RiU years ago, even tried a couple plants with a 150 watt MH 8 or so years ago with some decent luck. well now i have finally gotten the chance to do a bigger scale for myself anyway, grow op with my father in his house. both medical patients in the PNW and both with a passion for cultivating veggies, flowers, trees, fruits, and now finally my love cannabis. We have a section about 15 feet by 9 feet in out garage that we built a nice wall and insulated with insulation board. sealed the cracks as much as possible. ill post pics and info about them as well. ill say we are running in a clone box we made ourselves that is mounted on the wall. then we have a 3 and a half foot by 4 foot veg tent, 86 inches high using a 400 watt sun system metal halide all in one hood n ballast. we have a six in ideal air booster fan pulling air into the tent from the room. then up top is a 6 inch hurricane inline fan with a 6 by 36 i think carbon prhesh filter for the exhaust running twenty four seven on both intake and exhaust. then we got the MONSTER gorilla grow tent, which is 4x8x8feet high. this is so nice to grow in, and inside we have 2 1k watt HPS one in a nice 8 inch air cooled sunsystem hood, and the other is in the new saturn 8 8 inch cool tube monster reflector,(42inchesx28inches) COVERAGE TO THE MAX, we tried to get two of these but they were on huge back order. we have a hurricane 8 inch inline fan sucking cool air from outside the room in the garage by the window to cool the lights, it runs whenb the lights r on all the time. 745 CFM to cool these lights, and when they are on we average around 76-79 degrees, which is during our nighttime. we need to improve the intake but we are using an 8 and a 6 inch ideal air booster fan wich is on a y splitter with the 8 inch hurruicane beast fan so it over powers the boosters when the lights r on.the air we pull is from the garage so it is m ore stable with the temp and humidity than outside air. also we have an intake bug guard tyo keep the pests out as muichg as possible.(GLwith that tho)...ok thats the basic setup, we also have a sentinel envior controller but i dont like it much because i cant quite get it to work the way i want it too. oh and the exhaust in the bloom tent is its own 8 inch hurricane 745 cfm fan, with another beast carbon filter.... we went overkill. runs 24/7 as we live in a town in close proximity of neighbors..,....sheesh...ok so we started in our tents about 30 days ago and here are some pics. we have many strains ill list later when i have time.

we also have a handy fire suppression device, that goes off when temps hit 155 F. i dont know about you but if temps hit 155 something is def wrong and more than likely on fire :)....these babies will save your house and possibly your lives of you and family!!! the ballasts are lumepowers 1k watt mh/hps with dimmable select from 50% 75% 100% and 110%, which we dont mess with, 1k watt is good enough thanks...lol feel free to post with questions or tips, especially tips we are soo sooooo novice but i feel that i have a greenthumb from all my farming experience and veggie cultivation in general. but please post with concerns, and yes i know that every plant in the bloom tent is messed up, excpet our indica strain my uncle made himself on accident. we dont know whats wrong with the maui wowie but i assume its the gnats we are battling or its the fact we are rookie and its a hard to grow sativa. peace and love-BIGREDKEV

thanks guys, and i do believe i will have some nice bud porn for everyone to get a peek at. only time now, that and a bit of attention to detail :) our first set in bloom was started off not so good, clones from my brother who had them in a tent outside in the dark for weeks, and started the rest before we had built our room just out back in a greenhouse. however our second wave that is in the veg tent, should be awesome as we bought the clones from a local dispensary and they are nice and hardy strains. pitbull, Blueberry kush, and Afgoo too be exact, in the bloom now is 5 messed up maui wowies, and one accidental crossing of my uncles early girl afghani and orange kush, which we had gotten seeds from and one went and went well at that, well see what the buds turn out to be like but we have temporarily dubbed this strain afghani orange..lol thanks again guys for the welcome and ill update soon with pics

whattup everyone who's checking in again, i know its been pretty much just six hours short of two days since my last picture updates but he is some again, I have been giving a lot of attention, thought, and now starting the testing of correct pot size, and i know the whole 1 month of life per us gallon. however my theory is leaning to since with newer technologies in lighting and food, etc, we can grow fadster bigger and easier than ever, so the 1-1 ratio which is old school in theory and is yes a good one, but it might be getting outdated IMO.....so i do like root balling plants in smaller pots but i think that our 2.5 quart pots i have three clones in are best for right after xplanting from clone tray to soil. within 4 daysof plating in this size pot, roots have already started peeking out of the bottom. now 2.5 quarts of FF happy frog soil imo is plenty to even veg in for three to 4 weeks, then we will switch to our finishing pots which right now we are using 5 gallon buckets, and the next wave will have 7 gallon nursery pots, im thinking these pots forabout 3 and 1/2 to 4 months of plant life would suffice and i could possibly root ball that size in that time given i am using 2 1k watt hps lights with massive hoods, and imo a great set of easy to use nutes, and additional small amount of c02 from mushroom bags, (we need one more for bloom tent and one for veg as well) my QUESTION IS THEN: when should i xplant into the final pots, a week before veg ends? during the transfer into the bloom tent, or after they are in the bloom tent for a period? i am not sure when to do this as to avoid a double shock of the 12/12 flip and the xplant which shouldnt be bad since i am pretty good and gentle at xplanting. ANY IDEAS. LMK please -BRKps heres some updated pics two days after the last ones, small clones in soil imo are growing the best out of all.

by the way there is 7 plants in veg one is in a 5 gallon dual air disc DWC i assembled. the plant in it is waiting for roots to pop, then my goal is to show my dad how fast and much hydro can yield even with something as simple and easy as DWC.

im thinking of reviving my thread here, i never shut it down or anything, i just became very very nervous about posting this stuff online...i have a bigger homegrow than most and i know laws are changing however people are still going to prison for this crap and it is very saddening. all i have here is a quite large perpetual grow for three medical users to get there medicine from, however it is still a ball racking experience to toss your pics up for all to see. if anyone happens to see this post, let me know what i should do, if i should be worried, or if i should just keep posting this stuff, knowing i am all legal to grow and use my medicine..? just a quick update.... we tore down tents after my last info posts, and made one big bloom room dimensions around 10x8x8.4high. 3400 watts of HPS in bloom 216 watt t5 veg and 48 watt t5 for clones. we will be adding a larger veg section so we can veg our plants to around 3and a half feet tall before flowering.

heres a couple pics of my last plant harvested. soil grown, fox farm + botanicare + a variety of nutes really, yielded 9 ozs off this one plant although i trimmed way too much off of it, this is because we used to be in a crammed tent and switched out but before i could, i chopped her up to make her fit in the tent...could have gotten a bit more i believe on the yield. the quality is great though. this is a maui wowie male crossed with orange kush female, making what i am calling TheOrange, due to its overwhelming smell and taste of oranges
