I thank you again for your response and assistance in mixing up a tasty cocktail for my girls! I cannot wait to get them on this new diet.

I have read all morning on the benefits of silica and the seaweed!

Can't wait to post results once I get them added to their FF feed

Tops getting dry. Holding off on a feeding until calimagic arrives today.

Not huge growth. Lowering the lights got some a little stretch. Raised them back just now. 2" from my 4x23 watt 6500k / 4x23 watt soft....1600*8=12,800 lumens

She is the best looking. Once the other girls chip up I'll post them.

Or maybe I should be posting them also in the event you experienced ones catch something I miss.





While I decide on the T5 should I add a couple more CFL in there? I believe I have two more soft white lights

Whatever light you have, add em. Unless it creates unwanted heat issues.
My opinion.

If you have a fan in her I would crank it up or move closer. She looks like she's got skinny jeans on. ; )

And some PH 4/7 so j can recalibrate this $10 pen I got last week.

I went ahead and Added some more. Sadly at the moment I only have 4x6500k I need to chose a T5 soon




The best looking plants are on the inner side right now. Hopefully the soft white doesn't low spectrum does not confuse them since its advised to use daylight 6500k at this stage. Any thoughts? Is this a bad move for the next couple days till I have a T5 mounted to the closet ceiling?

I've used dual spec bulb all the way. But you seen how little my flowers are lol.

Haha you did a sweet Job with the LST! I am going to practice with some Top and Fim and LST while I am working these bagseed. I just cant believe how far behind these girls are...makes me want to double the nutes.

Hell the one I used the miracle grow tomato food on blew up over night.

But I used the MG as a last chance to save her since my Fox Farm hadn't arrived yet. It worked great tho.

I am still using 1/2 strength of FF nutes for the seedling stage.


I've read veg stage starts when first set of leaves fall off? Not sure if thats the case for me since those died a long time ago lol

I never heard that, I take the first 5 bladed leaves as a sign of veg.

Cool, mine are still shooting up 3 leaves.

I'm worried these little 3in Peat moss smart pots or holding them back.

I'm considering transplanting to solos where it would double their soil. I'm wondering if the smart pot they are in is self pruning them and not letting the roots grow down enough.

Or wait till next week and put them in there homes.

To be honest I don't know, I'm a super noob lol, look at journals or type into Google "cannabis plant at x days" to see how they stack up against one another.

Your prob like me and expecting too much too soon lol. I weren't to bothered about veg growth though, just bothered my plants ain't bloody got some huge dense buds yet like I seen in other CFL grows. In my pics the plant on the left was fimmed and the plant on the right I just topped and trained.

Best way to learn is practically though rather then reading from a book and I never understood fimming until I tried it.. Lol I prob still don't understand, from what I've seen. If you topped properly you would just have the two tops when grown.
if you fimmed you kind of stunt the original top which makes the plant grow out the two tops developing below, but the top where you fimmed eventually recovers to give you three tops possibly four if that makes sense. I don't understand where the fourth top comes from though lol.

Yes around my home but never in the grow cupboard there is only one on my fly tape roll and I put it there lol, I actually caught one in my living room/lounge thought I'd take a look in my cupboard and I stuck it on my fly tape roll.

There's not a lot of them, just see the 1 every 3 days or so.. They fly really slow and are easy to "clap" out of the air... Hmm I could practice the Mr miyagi chopstick scene out of karate kid (original) lol

No change this morning.

I couldn't wait any longer for the calimagic to get here today in the mail so I went ahead and fed them.

Same feeding as last time

10ml BigBloom
1ml of GrowBig
Ph down to 6.3

Room temp 82
RH 40%
Soil temp 74

Will post pictures of all later on. I need to get them labeled today so I can keep track of any issues to come.

Order is in. Will start cal/mag next watering...

Just received my Silica Boost in the mail today! Girls are dry and it is time for a watering since I fed with FF yesterday.


Can I add both silica boost and calimagic into my distilled water then PH is down for their watering?

Or should I just do PH water today and Add my two new bottles to their feed tomo


I sure there is a particular way to mix this combo. Need to find out what goes in first ... Having trouble finding a good read on this in RIU.


Any and all help will be appreciate while I search for this..

Unless it specifically states to not do something or to do something you should be fine.

Just fed the girls. All except the one in a red solo cup. She was still damp.

Bumped up nutes


20ml Big Bloom
3ml Grow Big
2.5ml CaliMagic
1.5ml Silica Blast

PPM >600
PH 6.2

RUN OFF 6.5

Room temp 78
Soil 70
RH 35
