First grow 12/12 from seed!!! (Need input)

3 weeks ago i germinated 3 bags seeds. I planted each one in a two liter soda bottle. Per plants theres one 26w cfl. The first week i kept 24/0. Second week 18/6. Third week 12/12, because i wanted to do the dutch grow. This week is now the 4th. Each plant is about 6 inches tall with 8 nodes. They are doing very good.

So my ?'s are...

When will I be able to determine sex?
About how much will I yield per plant?
Total height?
Need more light? (If one or two males then lights should be fine)
Should i boost to 13/11? (More bud, longer flower?)
Or just anyones input...

Its my first grow and im just curious. I have been reading forums like crazy and have taken in so much!! Should i post pics?

Also should I top them now, before flowering, or not at all?

I just want an affective efficient grow.

Lots of questions...let's see if I can help any. You should be able to determine the gender after about 2 or 3 weeks of 12/12 lighting. The yield depends on quite a few factors at this point so I really can't help there. Cannabis plants height will double & sometimes triple during flowering so just do the math to figure out height. Yes you will need much more light - at least 3 or 4 of those lights per plant when your flowering. Try not to mess with your light schedule because this can confuse the plants & cause the hermaphrodite condition. Yes we always like pictures! If you want to top now is the time. You don't want to disturb the plant while it's flowering.

I was thinking about going to get Y adapters for my lights, just havent gotten around to it. Would you recommend topping though? Will it reduce yield on such small plant? I think im going to do it. When would be the best time, before they sleep?

I would not top it. It will show sex the amount of time if ya did not go 12x12 from seed. Ya might as well grow it and then flower it.

I haven't topped a plant so I don't recommend it, but you should do what you feel. It will definately slow growth, but I have no idea about the yield situation.

Each node is a branch. Each branch is a bud. So if ya top it you will have 2 that come out. If dont top ya could have 15,18,or so.

I topped mine are am currently 4 days into flowering...topped them at 5 days old...they are a lil over a foot tall now, some of them 2 main stalks, some 3...thick stems and nice growth of 9 leaves putting out now, i got some pics somewhere...definitely would think about topping, I hear it doubles your yield if you do it really early like I did...I dunno what do you think???

I feel like topping should be done early in veg. Mine are already on 12/12 so I dont want them to be stuned or produce a smaller yeild. I need more exsperienced peoples input!!!!!!

dont top, just clone the branches, not the bottom 2 branches that are the plants lifeline

I dont have enough lighting for clones. What I have is what im growing, and once their done im not going to grow again lol. They arent flowering yet but you still dont think I should top them?

So clipping the bottom two branches will result in the plant dying?

i wouldnt top them, it might help in the long run but it slows growth and is nver been my thing, just to tell ya

ive cut them before and nothing happened
