so you need to make a steady circulation of air, so no hotspots appear, is that what u mean?
You want your air flow over the plants to be more like wind--a little chaotic. It will help distribute heat more evenly, but also, if you were constantly blowing a plant in one direction, its leaves would catch the wind and turn on their sides--away from the light.

But that's for your oscillating fan. When I'm talking about placement of your carbon filters, I'm talking about removing as much convective heat as possible that's coming off the lights. If you're sucking a lot of air from right above those hoods it will serve to help pull hot air out before it can start circulating around the room. Also, since your hood is a good conductor, keeping it cool by putting your intakes near it helps it act like a heat sink.

Have you ever built a computer or cracked open a PC case? You know the metal heat sink with the fan on it, connected to your computer's processor. Similar idea with putting the intakes up near your light hoods.

U really know your stuff, thanks for taking the time to reply. So ive looked and if i turn my lights to 90 degrees like u said. i have enough room to hang the carbon filters inbetween the lights but just a little higher up. Then ill have 2 fans blowing in the direction of the intake fans, then one fan oppoisite in the middle on the back as to create a circulation of air, funny enough i just read an article which said if your growing in a traingle room you should have your lights facing the way you just told me. so what do you think about the way i said to place them, will that work?

Yeah that sounds great, really glad that will work out for you! Every room has a kind of "ideal" configuration, and it sounds like we're getting close. Actually everything above I learned in a course called "transport phenomena" I took in college, and designing large rack mount computer systems where heat flow, etc. is significantly more complex than a grow room. So I'm definitely not B.S'ing you! :D

im pretty confident that it will work ok, its just setting it up, i would love to construct my own room lined with orca grow film, supposed to be the best reflective materiel on the market.
