hey everyone, so after much diliberation ive decided to gorw a couple plants outdoors... but ive never done it outdoors so any helpfull advice would be awesome..

my plan so far: buy 2 to 3 clones and planting them in my grandmas garden(shes ok with it dont worry) the site gets lots of socal sun nice shade later in the day... im just curious as too what i would need. should i grow them in pots or in the ground, ect, ect.. and any suggestions would be great plus rep.... i currently have 3 plants growing indoors and im assuming that growing indoors is harder and takes much more work than growing outdoors...and since its summer pretty much all year around down here i was going to plant them this easter weekend, thoughts???

oh ya and if you havent already check out my indoor grow, its in my signature!!!

If height isn't an issue, I'd plant them right in the ground. How's the quality of the soil?
Growing outdoors is relatively easy. As long as they get water/ food they'll do good. Also, make sure your plants have plenty of space to grow and spread out. That way, you get giant plants!

P.s- indoor grow looks mighty fine!

Earlier today i planted my seedling in this greenish place, it's about a football field and a half away. i have composted soil around it and normal dirt under that. then later i found a friggin baby seedling it's about 4 mm tall in the front of my apartment, the people that live above me are some real potheads lol, i am going to start spreading wild weed around here, and there especially in the forest, then each year = tons of free bud lol.

the bud is for selling ;)

so would i need to dig a hole and put soli in it or just dig a hole, plant, and reuse the dirt i dug up?

If it's good soil you don't have to bring any in. Dig a hole (say 2ftx2ft) to break the soil up per plant you want to put out there. Are you letting the clones grow a bit inside to get established before you put them outside? (recommended)

If you have Amy farms near you, compost/manure is great to use. There's also potting soil you can purchase at walmart, agway etc.

well since i have plants already flowering in my room .. i might just stick some clones outside in a pot prolly a 5 gal then transfer to a 10 gal.. then i was thinking about sticking a few actually in the ground(height is not a issue)

Sounds good. As long As you check on the plants daily (to check for insects, mites and animal problems) you should be good. Is there a fence around this garden? If there's other vegetables growing there aswell, animals are going to be tempted to chomp down.

naw theres no fence, but my grandma does havea girp of stuff in the gardin, including blueberries, tomatoes, pepers, basil and a few others, animals have never really been an issue in all the years living here...so im prolly going to stick a fewclones out this weekend and do it up and see what happens. i think what im going to do is stick 2 in pots and 2 in the ground...hows that sound?

Sounds excellent CB! Why not Put all of them in the ground? Space issues?
Either way, looks good. After you plant em' you can snack on some fresh blueberries!(after some smoke of course)

if you can, snap a few photos.

Also, you might want to establish the clones inside for a week or 2. Just until they get over the "shock" if you will. They'll grow alot better/ have a more solid foundation.

should i just toss them into my closet? the light in my closet is set to 12/12 cause of my three other plants, that wont trigger the baby clones will it? even if it did they would revert when put outside, wont they?

nope theres no space issues at all

I honestly don't know if the clones wouldmind that or not. Maybe put them on a windowsill?
Maybe someone will chime in about that.

Hey CB
Im also doing a outdoor grow this year. I started with seeds and i germinated them and now there chillen on my windowsill for a couple weeks till the weather warms up a little,so i put them outside. Yah i wish my g-mas would let me grow with her. Good luck.

if you wanna do it put them into your 12/12 room for a couple of weeks. its not gonna hurt them at all. and if for some crazy reason they show sex then hey at least you know what is what. and yeah if you stuff a sexed plant outside in the summer it will just stop flowering and grow. window sill for a couple weeks from seed works too

Anytime you stress a plant with light change(put it in flower stage),it affects its growth potential.

I'v never tried an experiment with 2 clones from a mother to see the effects, but talk to some proffesional breeders and they'll tell you.
