First ever grow - Fridge grow

Hey guys... I've got these plants in 2 litre containers....I have now realised I will probably have to transplant these plants eventually?? Will they get root bound and if I need to transplant would it be possible (scrog)?

Ok everyone I just transplanted my two main plants into bigger containers. As i suspected, the plants became rootbound (particularly the left plant, although the right one was very close)
Below are some pictures of my transplant, and how the current plants are looking. They were beginning to curl and become light green in growth.. some fan leaves also began to show some odd deficiencies (on the left plant). I am hoping and expecting the plants to begin healthy growth again and these pots should be sufficient to flower in. Any questions feel free to ask

p.s the pipes at the bottom are connected to the drain holes and all runoff goes through the pipes and into a container and then thrown out..just something i thought i could do to improve the design a bit. I also just fed the plants lightly

Lookin' good! Those pots would probably cover another month or two of veg haha! Hempies and soilless in general require less root space.

But you're getting that screen pretty full.. almost blastoff time!

Thanks eman, I think I finally got full control now haha

Highocaine, yep thinking once they bounce back I will switch them into flower quite soon. I have my hps globe ready, flowering nutes..

Any tips for my first time flowering? I've noticed alot of people use things like Epsom salts and molasses. I got some calmag which I bought, would that be good to add during flowering? I want to keep it simple but also get good results obviously.

Calmag with every water if you're in soilless, probably (especially coco). Epsom salts are for the magnesium.

Reading back, I can't find what nutes you're using?

My grow is 100% perlite. Next grow I think I might add some vermiculite however just perlite has worked fine so far and transplanting was easy

My nutes are canna a & b vega (using currently). I have a & b Flores aswell which I will start using in flowering. I have general hydroponics calmag aswell which I haven't used so far. When I start flowering do I just switch to normal dose flowering nutes after flipping the lights?

Some people recommended continuing veg nutes for the first week of flower. I would just follow what Canna says to do, and adjust based on plant reading.

I think im going to switch to flowering this week...maybe even tonight/tomorrow. this is how they are looking currently. I hope i havent waited too long? Any advice is appreciated as usual :)

Edit: ps that top right corner has filled out quicker than the rest of the screen... I am thinking of lsting that particular area if necessary

I have done so last night. They have received one period of 12 hour darkness so far. I'm thinking of getting a thermostat to control temperatures and hook it up to my extractor fan. Currently temperatures are a bit too low and I'm thinking this would resolve the issue? Does anyone have any experience with this?

In my experience you need to keep airflow going. I understand the issue with temps though, so maybe having the extractor off when the lights are off may work, but if possible I would have it on all the time. Good luck dude

Yeah I was a bit concerned about that. Temps are getting as low as 17 degrees when lights are on though so that's really concerning aswell. If anyone has any experience it would help alot. I'm scared if I hook it up to the thermostat the fan would be off more than it is on which would almost definitely be harmful for the plants I'm guessing

You will give the peeps on this forum a heart attack saying 17 degree. lol I know you are in oz from reading prior posts so I know you mean 62 degree farhenheit. :-) I am in oz too. :-) I think that is still hot enough I have had colder temps and all it did was turn the bud purple, I actually had to add heating to help. I think maybe stick with it as is with temps down to 17 degrees celcius. You are in a sealed fridge also, so I am thinking lack of airflow will do more harm than colders temps. , you dont want mildew for example.

In the end there is only one way to know for sure and that is to do what you believe and learn from it. :-) Good luck.

Thanks for your help mate. Haha yes I am in oz and yes I mean celsius. I have a little heater that I turn on when it gets really cold to heat it up a bit but I obviously can't run it 24/7 or else electricity costs would be extreme. I'm hoping the weather gets warmer soon but it looks like more of the same for at least the next couple of weeks :(

Low temps can hurt potency too. Use a small heater + thermostat?
When my plants went purple from the cold I could not say that the smoke was any less potent. I think any non ideal situation can affect a number of things though so you could be right.....

day #6 of flowering

Things are going smoothly, i'm keeping the temps steady between 21-25 degrees celsius and night time temps can sometimes be a bit on the high side since lights are on during the night however usually they are pretty good and are around 17-18 degrees. Plants seem to be going just fine. I expect to get more flowering nutrients either tomorrow or the day after, such as rhizotonic pk13-14, and cannzym. So once these arrive I expect growth to become even better..Will keep you guys updated

As you can see the plants have begun to stretch

I think there are also some hairs appearing, not sure if you can see it that well in this pic?

PS i plan on lsting these plants a bit because they have stretched quite a bit... dont want them getting too far above the scrog
