So here is my first DWC but third grow crop I'm using foxfarm nutrient line but I'm about to switch to general hydroponics. I've posted questions along the way and have found some helpful tips and thank you RIU. Now I'm using a 30gal tote with 10gal of water three large base airstones two are the Aqua Culture Bubble Aquarium Stone, 1ct 14" and one 18" bubble curtain as of right now my PPMS are at 996 Ph at 5.6 water temp 64°F I'm using fluorescent lights for veg but have a 600HPS for flower just saves on electricity. Lights stay on 24hrs change water every Saturday plant just started its 3rd week in veg and that's about it. All comments and suggestions are welcomed.

I like it. The plant looks very happy there all by herself. You plan on putting that tent to good use(more plants) or are you happy with one?

Yea at some point I'll do 5 gallon buckets but as of rite now one is good and since it's my first time I rather do one plant then three and waste seeds by killing them if I mess up along the way..

I'll be watching. That plant intere be herself will get huge if done right. What kind of yield are you shooting for?

probably about 8oz's don't know like you said if done rite I shall receive Lol. I'm gonna switch to General hydroponics but use the foxfarm bloom side along with big bud and I'm gonna try kabloom so will see..

looks good. I think your water is a tad too cold and your nutes are too strong. I would be running them at 500 max at that size. It depends on your humidity and temps, but that is a pretty hot mix dude. Your making the plants struggle.

Looks good but your PPM's might be a tad too strong for that little guy. I would cut them in half and slowly increase them as it gets bigger. 65 Degrees is perfect for the water temp. That's what I keep mine at and I believe that is the best for oxygen levels.

Yea I was thinking the same thing so I'll go with how I had it before personally I think foxfarm nutrient is way strong so to keep it at 500 ppms it's 1 teaspoon of everything witch is 2oz's of nutrient so I pretty much have it down packed and that's sorta the reason for the the switch to general hydroponics

Nice, so you switched to Gen Hydro? Which one are you using, the 3 part? I use the 3 part plus Liquid KoolBloom and CaliMagic and I have never seen better results. Just an FYI, if you are using RO water you may have to supplement with CaliMagic when you switch to flower. I ran into a deficiency problem right after the 2nd week of flower. Even if you don't use RO keep an eye out for it when only using the 3 part.

I'm going to be using the flora line so I guess that's the 3 part first time user of the product but hoping to have good results. I'm also using regular tap it has chlorine in it but doesn't hurt the plant any was gonna use calmag but don't know how much to use as there only directions for soil

I would start out at about 3ml/gallon of cal mag. I only notice mag def in like week 5. Don't go over 10.

Also, but yourself some insurance in the form of silica. If your using PH up, just use dynagrow silica instead. It's hella basic.

Stronger and thick stems, stronger roots. No nutrient line that I know of contains silica.
Cheers

thanks man I'll try it out I was always wondering how to get thicker roots

I have a very similar grow going on, that i just created a thread about in this section.. so i will def be fallowing haha. good luck!

So last night was the last night for gunky foxfarm nutrient. I'm using the three part I went with the schedule as seeing on the label doses are smaller. So I mixed 10ml of micro 10ml grow veg and 5ml of the flower and 0.5teasp of foxfarm kangaroot into 10gallons which equals out to 1/2cups on micro and grow and for got the flower so will see how there doing when I get home from work....

legit, are you using beni's as well? You may really want to run EWC tea if your using root boosters like kanga root. They tend to have a fair amount of organics and enzymes that can cause bad bacteria to go crazy. After trying sterlie and EWC to keep the roots healthy I cna say, that with absolutely zero doubt, that EWC is THE way to go with water cultures. Almost none of the "big boys" are running sterlie RDWC systems these days.. just too risky since once you have an infection its virtually impossible to get rid of it.

I have to look into getting some of that thanks and didn't know that either
