So I'm new to the site seems really kool love reading the forums so I have been doing autos for a year now jumping into regs and trying one dwc bucket and two in the soil the one in the dwc bucket is bigger than the rest but does not look as healthy leaves are curling on the sides I'm thinking my water might be to warm my tent has been in low 80's to the mid 80's there 3 weeks old the mix was about 78 way to high right I did quarter strength feed could that be to strong lights are off so when they come on I'll take the pic

78 is certainly in the trouble zone unless you are running beneficial bacteria and what not, and even if you are, the plant would still likely be much happier at 70 or 65. How are your roots looking? My guess is they are beginning to show signs of rot. You might get some people saying the high temp will kill your oxygen saturation, but it's not really as drastic as some believe it is. Looking at the table.. it's really not that sharp of a decline at all. Like I said though, those higher temps will most certainly allow for root rot if other measures aren't taken.

As long as you are running say.. 20 gallons or less, a 50 watt ice probe would be perfect. I recently got one with a power supply and temp controller all together shipped for 160 bucks. If you do go that route and have to install it into the grow bucket, I would make sure you cage the probe so that the roots don't lay on it and shock themselves when it's chilling.

I run with water that hot in the summer and I don't notice my roots rotting. In fact they are just as white as when I run 65F water.

I've been very lucky with running warm water and not having any issues.

Where is the water level? Only time I had droop was with 95F room temps and then when I had no oxygen at my root zone due to water logged medium.

Quarter strength is fine. You wanna be a bit low in terms of feed if your room is hot as they will drink more water.

Keep water below 70*
5.8 ph
100% dark
plenty of bubbles
Innoculate with beneficial microbes every 4 or 5 days (aquashield / pond-zyme / great white / etc)

Any of that shit is off and you will have problems. You already know your temps are too hot so obviously step one is to fix that. I just insulate my bucket and wrap it in a few layers of reflectix (which also makes it light proof), and swap out 1L ice bottle once a day...
