hi guys, about to germinate my seeds for my first indoor operation.

When do you put ur plants in the growroom?
As soon as the heads pop through the soil, or is it better to wait for a few days?

Ta for any advice

Heres what i do

Paper towel method for germination, once taproot appears i plant them in soil

once they sprout i turn on a couple of CFL household light bulbs and place them underneath the light.

They usually stay under the cfls for a week or more while they are starting to grow, then i put them in my tent under the bigger lights

first lot spent 11 days under cfl
second lot spent only 7 days

What type of soil are you using? Many of the good soils have lots of nutrients in them already, which is why El Connisseur mentioned not feeding for first couple of weeks. I use Fox farms ocean forrest and ive had plants go the first 35 days in this stuff without needing nutes. Obviously its strain dependent, but gives you an idea of just how hot some of the soils are.

hope this helps
Best of luck

I use biobizz all mix, the European equivalent of Fox Farm; it’s got 2 weeks nutes in it; used it for greenhouse before and fed the girls after about 4 weeks.

Bro i bilieve that everything Diggs99 said was correct..me personally, start the seeds directly under the veg lights..and the only bad for this is the waste of electricity..On the other hand, i ensure that they will not stretch to rich the light due to lack of light, which can be existing when u have low watt cfl for the germ..In conclution..i give it from the start the VEG light but i set it much higher than normal..

Cheers man! :weed::weed::weed:

Thanks dude, I put them straight in the growbin; gives me a chance to test the rig.

18/6 from the Start?

Do u run the exhaust in the early days?

Was gonna set the light at around 20“ above pots; should I go higher still?
Just don’t wanna kill any of the babies

Well man..18/6 yes..i usually set the lights 1m above the plants at this stage..about exhausting..i have automated system which works only when the temperature is higher than the ideal..dont use oscillating fans till 4-5 node..and dont set them to hit directly the seedlings..and ofc dont put them in the maximum power :P ..thats all about this stage..humidity=60-80%, temperature=23-28 Celcius and everything will be fine!
