So after trolling this forum for a while, i finally decided to register, and start my first ever grow. Its a cfl micro grow in a cabinet i got on sale from lowes. The strain is just some dank I bought, and had 1 seed per bud. The seedlings are about 3 days sprouted.

So here are some more pics of my plants. Its been about 3 days. They seem to be coming along nicely, but im not really sure because ive never grown before. There are some that just sprouted this morning, too.
Also is a pic of my lights, 3 6500k 26w cfls, and 2 2700k 26w cfls. I do seem to be having a problem, however, as there is still a horrendous light leak even after lining the walls with 2mil mylar.
Any suggestions on how to fix that, or suggestions overall?

thanks

Heres some new pics of my plants. Some of them started to show new growth, and i could see the roots on the outside of the cups, so i decided to repot them into their final containers.

So heres some new pics of my plants. The 3 that i repotted are starting to actually grow at a noticeable rate, at least to me. Theres also an overhead pic of the cluster of smaller seedlings that are not yet repotted.

Two of my plants seem like they are killing themselves. Any ideas as to why? They are the last pics. Any help would be appreciated...

Well im off to hit vape

So heres some new pics of my plants. They are startin to get some new leaves, and are generally lookin good. Two of them were wilting and seemed dead, so I pulled them. My damn cat got another one so now im down to 5 plants total.

One of my plants seems odd. It is a lime green color, with light yellowing on the leaves and faint brown tips. The pics are D1 9 (1) (2). Does anyone know why this could be happening? Please help if you can.

New growth on all my plants. Another seedling died. not sure why. The plant i thought was the best is starting to get brown on the leave tips and yellow up the leaves.

Does any one know what could be causing this?

Lookin pretty good I saw that potting soil at home depot after i shelled out 20$ on ff light warrioroh well. did you repot into that same soil I'm guessing that soil doesn't have many or any nutes I would transplant them into a better soil if they are. Just look for something with natural ingredients You might have to buy some perlite and some worm castings or something if it doesn't already have it. Do you have fans hooked up to that? They need fresh air pulled in. In the first couple pics it looks like some of your lights are too far away to really be doing any good I would probably turn some off but it's not a huge deal. I'm guessing that your overwatering most of the pics the soil looks moist let the soil dry out a little bit between waterings or the roots won't be able to breathe. I'm not sure but that's my guess.

Thanks for the reply.
I have a 140mm computer fan circulating air in the box, and 2 decently sized holes to bring air in. The plants are on the lowest shelf of a cabinet and normally rest about 2 inches from the cfls, i just have to move them so i can take pics cuz my camera will not take decent pics if a light is shining at it.
This is still a work in progress. I plan on adding some more fans to directly bring in air, and a carbon air filter to help with the smell. But I need to get some money first.
I actually repotted the plants into some miracle grow organic potting soil mixed with perlite. I have been watering them every other day now for about two waterings. I just usually take the pics after i water.

I noticed that two of my plants have dark purple on them. On one plant the entire back side of every leaf is a dark purple, old and new. On another i just seem to have a little purple on the new growth. Is there something im doing wrong to cause this to happen? The strain is some bagseed that had no trace of purple on it.

okay that makes sense you moved to take pictures. I definately know how you have to keep adding to it while you save $ after your first grow or 2 you have an arrsenal of stuff. It's probably the MG soil thats causing problems. I have used regular MG for plenty of crops because I didn't want to deal with fertilizing myself and it was okay but last year I tried that organic stuff and it stunted the hell out of my plants. I would water heavily and let the water leach out some of the nutes hopefully they spring back after a little time.

So here are some more pics of my plants. They are showing a lot of new growth. I have noticed some yellowing on the leaves and some brownish or purple or grey spots, not sure lol, on the leaves around the edges.

I also noticed that on one of my plants the leaves are curling in toward themselves. And also, another plants leaves are almost entirely purple underneath. Weird to me.

So any ideas as to why my plants are discolored?

the leaves that are curling is from over watering or underwatering. i believe that u might be overwatering due to there are not that big of plants. for the discolored plants im not to sure but it might be from your soil.
