First CFL Grow, Check It Out

So this is my first CFL grow. I picked up a total of 4 clones from the club today, 2 are Soul Diesel and the other 2 are Grape Ape. I have no idea how old the clones are but I put them under 4 23W soft whites and some random 65W plant light I found in the closet. I plan on keeping these lights on them for about a week then switching over to 12/12. Let me know what you guys think and what improvements can be done to this grow.

Here are some pictures

so today i got a thermometer in there next to the plants and it read 80F so i got a fan and have it blowing over the plants. the area where the plants are growing now read 78F. are there any improvements i can make to this to make it better?more lights?

the only thing i would say is the bulbs you have got are the wrong color, you need cool whites and a few more lights couldnt hurt you could even leave 1 or 2 of the soft whites in there aswell to mix the spectrum a bit my plants seem to love it

ok. tomorrow i will go to the store and get some cool white light bulbs. should i leave the 65W plant bulb on or should i take it off?

i plan on going to store in the morning and getting 4 cool whites. i will post pictures tomorrow once i have all the new lights in.

so today i went to target and got 4 42W cfls. i hope i got the right ones. let me know what you guys think.

they look like 2700k bulbs which are warm white usually used when flowering your plants and not vegging, for vegging you 6500k cool white

Yup, zill is right. you want the cool white(blueish looking) for vegging and warm white (more orangish) for flowering. But if your not going to vegg for very long.....
Any way the more light the better, any light....its all about the light! And get them really close to the plants between 1 and 2 inches, you'll have to adjust them everyday. Good luck. I'll watch to see how much buds those little buggers can push out.

Yes, add more bulbs. I suggest picking up a couple more y splitters. If you can get 8 cool white cfl's in your setup you can get adequate light surrounding each plant. I noticed you had two on one side and one on the other, fill those in two. CFL's use very little electricity and produce little heat, use that to your advantage and keep them as close to the plant as possible.

off to the store tomorrow to get the cool whites i saw at home depot earlier. i will just save these lights for the flowering phase. i also put in a timer to switch the lights to 18/6.

i just noticed in my buds for less book he uses 8 42W warm whites for the whole growing process, for both vegging and flowering. could i just get some more 42W warm whites to save some money and use them for both the vegging and flowering phases or would it be better to get some cool whites?

if you're planning keeping the plants in veg for only a couple of weeks, I think you should get the warm ones. You'll only have one or two weeks vegging and about 8 weeks flowering. I'd go with the warm cfls.

yeh i dont think it would make too much difference with a shorter veg period, i would personally do a mixture of cool white and warm white, more cool bulbs for veg then more warm bulbs for flowering but thats just me

today i got four more lights which makes a total of 8 42W cfls. i also watered each plant with about a cup of water today. the two plants on the left are grape ape(the second picture) and the two plants on the right are sour diesel(the third picture). anymore suggestions?

today i watered each plant with one cup of water. i took picture of each individual plant so its easier to see their progress. the grape ape clones seems to be growing much more than the sour diesel clones. and one sour diesel clone seems to be suffering from burn spots. the first two plants are the grape ape clones and the second two are the sour diesel clones. let me know what you guys think.
