I'm no vet but I do DWC. Ice bottles r a good idea if u don't have a chiller. I've just been adding 1gal twice a day of ice water to my 5gal res. been working great for the past yr. I have also had root rot once but since started using this tea. I'll be back to post the link.

The microbe tea is all well and good but I never needed it and I wasn't able to keep res temps below 83 F near the end of my growing season. This was in a room with 6-20 gallon rubbermaids containing monster trees and 2400 watts overhead in a 12 x 10 foot room. What worked for me was copious aeration. Even though there is only a certain amount of dissolved oxygen that can be held in solution for a given temperature that doesn't mean that the maximum dissolved oxygen capacity for a body of water at , lets say 83 degrees ( or even higher for that matter) isn't more than adequate for even the most giant root ball. The only way to rule out that the temperature is too high for adequate root growth is to agitate the air/water interface to the max .In other words just stir it up as much as possible without water spilling out of the res.If that isn't enough to keep the roots from turning dark brown and slimy then the microbe tea is your last resort. Although, I certainly agree that the microbe tea is the first course of action once the damage is already done.

aqua shield treatment starts tonight have heard good things and the grls do have new shoots and 80 percent roots are white and others still lil brownish smell went way down ...but what started my problem was drip irrigation head stops up leaving plants till i got up next morning with out drip from top....i sorda feel like temp played factor but only cause my water stopped pumping down the rooots...im jus starting wit bubbleponics and the growth is amazing thats why i reallly wanna solve issues

Another question is? How often do you change your water. I've had brown slim on my shit. I just cut it off and change the water. Doesn't harm the plant at all. Actually it super changes root growth. I've even done it on perfectly normal plants. I've had some white scum on the roots and air stone. I washed the shit out of the roots, bleached the air stone and 5gallon bucket. Shit ain't hard.

A lot of nutes are not stable for hydro systems. Once I switched to Hydroponic-Research VEG+BLOOM my root problems went away PLUS, it's a great one step dry formula

i did wash roots with h202 got rid of most browning roots and have started treating now with aquashield....i changse my water every 5 to 7 days since roots started havin smell....was changing every 7 to 10 days.....but today ive gotten rid of foil had my walls lined with and started adding 1 liter ice bottles...water temp finally down to 73.7....and btw 6 plants roots in one container alot different than one plant in a 5 gallon bucket....but thanks very much for replying bro

im using general hydroponics flora series....had been told was good first nutrients to try as a starting bubbleponics grower.....i ve growed for 20 years outdoors and in soil but dwc or bubbleponics whole nutha ballpark...thanx for ur reply
