First attempt at DWC. Advice please!

From having grown a couple outdoors previously, I'm beginning to think that this one is going to be a female. I. Truly hope it turns out being one. & I can now see roots coming out of this baby. Finally! Lol If anyone can help me out on determining wether or not they come out female once they start to give clear signs if it... I'd greatly appreciate it. +repI'll post up the scrog I did for the potted plant later.Finna burn right quick

Id just locate the growing tip and snap it off for a top that doesn't cut out so much plant like unclebens technique does

Really isnt that much shock in a rockwool - dwc transplant. if anything theres just the 1-2 day period where it adjusts to constant feeding.

I think & hope I've done it right though.

I messed up on one of mine the first time and the bottom secondary growth just grew up tall to act as the new tops, its funny looking cause the plant ends at like 12 inches and the side growth just grew up tall past it. I got it down now though.

Around 5 minutes they show you how to top. Very simple, I don't bend the branches back like they do though.

Hope that helps. On that last one it looks like you got the growing tip and the node below that one. You think its just one tip that growing but if you separate the leaves theres a tiny set growing in there and you just hold open the leaves and pluck that out just grab it with your thumb and index and bend back until you feel it snap off. It should have a sort of roundish feel towards the bottom.

The only nutes I'm using while vegging are

Canna Aqua Vega both parts &
GH Rapid Root

What other additives would any of you suggest?

I only use a Ionic Grow 1 part, calmag plus, and sometimes I use some tea or aquashield, just been using the aquashield lately, but thats for pathogen control.

Additives I see people using is some sort of silicon supplement like protekt and then for a few weeks in flower a PK booster is used.

Lots of successful gardens on here just use grow, bloom, and a booster though.

I started out using all 3 parts of the GH Flora line but will now use just the micro and bloom using the Lucas formula. The only additives I used were gh liquid koolbloom and gh floranectar. I will use up the floranectar but in the future will use blackstrap molasses instead. GH lineup is good and priced right too. You can definitely get by with using just the 2-part no problem.

The roots are looking nice and white in the res.

Looks good man. Did you top or FIM? I FIMed my plants and think that topping gives better results. Topping seems more uniform in the end, the branching is much more even I think.

I topped one and FIMed the other STONESLACKER& I'm really liking the way the one I topped is looking. It's filling up my scrog net fairly quick tho... I wanna flip to 12/12 already but I'm not exactly sure if I should.

Flip to 12/12 when you have 50% of the screen filled with sativas or 75% with indicas is a good place to start i think.
