First attempt at a scrog grow

On my ninth grow. Averaging about 3 ozs dry per plant been growing 2 plants at a time. This grow only one plant nirvana super skunk feminized seed. Started seed in seedling soil with very small amount of ffof soil mixed in. Started seedling under cfl bulbs 2 -40watters. Transplanted peat pots into one gallon pots. Kept under cfls for a little longer about 3 weeks. Added more cfl light had the 2 - 40 Watters and added 2 -26 Watters as well. Left in one gallon pots for 2 more weeks and transplanted into 5 gallon pots. Topped plant and started lst. Now plant is under scrog take up almost all of the fave gallon Pot because of the lst. Had some minor burns on some fan leaves because plant got too close to the cfls. Now plant is under 400watt mh bulb will be using 400 hps for flower. Ffof soil and nirvana grow tabs will add flower tab after one week into flower. Heard some bad things about the tabs but honestly they work perfect for me and never had a.problem with them. No time for mixes nutes etc. Room is 4x4x6. Fans and and exhaust leave door vented during day for fresh air. After this grow want to revamp room. Going to be adding co2 to this grow as well my last grow was first time I used co2 and it seemed to make a difference.1386627382211.jpg
This is seedling under cfls.1386627439829.jpg
This pic is after transplanting to 5 gallon pot and started lst.1386627492603.jpg
This is current pic under 400watt mh and under scrog notice plants pretty much covers entire 5 gallon pot so bushy and nice starting to get a few tops coming through net. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It looks great from the pictures! How high are you allowing growth to get before tucking? Also, if your table is super light I recommend finding a way to weigh it down. I have seen many a scrog net actually lifted off the ground by plants causing the canopy to become uneven.

If you have the ability run a tight cord the length of the scrog and then tie your net periodically to the firm cord, not string you dont want fibers on your buds, (clothesline stuff works great as it has a rubber-plastic coasting) and this will prevent that. Its what we did on our long tables.

Thanks for the advice guys I was just thinking about weighing it down somehow. I'm letting them get inch or two above scrog and then pushing them down.

For now I have 2 2lb. Wieght attached to legs of the table do you think I need more wieght than that?

Instead of pushing them under you may have better control results from tying them to the screen with Velco Plant Ties. Nothing wrong at all with the tuck method though ;)

I found mine at home depot. Like 5 bucks for more than enough for a few cycles depending on screen size.

I think that should be ok but you will slowly see it raise it wont happen immediately giving you plenty of time to weight it down more.

The velcro is a a great idea and yes I am going to weigh it down more sooner than later I have 25lb. Solid dumbells I'm going to attach to the table that's 50 lbs. If my plant pushes that up should have enough Mj to never grow again lol thanks for the advice i appreciate it not a pro grower not a beginner somewhere in between lol my first scrog grow however.

Should be plenty of weight. With that size screen are you prepared for a possibly long veg period (say 6-8 wks total)? I've never grown with CFL's so I don't know how growth rates are. I apologize if anything comes off demeaning, we are all learning :o

I only start the plants with cfls they are under 400watt mh now and will be under 400watt hps for flower. I figured about 6 to 8 weeks veg. I have plenty from previous harvest of super skunk and ak48 got almost 7 ozs. Dry from 2 plants. Want to see if with a scrog can I get roughly same wieght with just one plant.

Is it all possible for to fill whole screen with one plant? It's 2ft.x4ft scrog with 2 inch X 2 inch squares. I'm Gona let it veg for a good while I at least want to make a good effort getting the screen filled

Hey edge I actually made my scrog myself out of an old Window screen its not the prettiest but it does the job well. I used fishing line 40lb. Test line. Drilled holes every two inches around frame. Weaved fishing line through used tape around sharp edges of holes so frame didn't cut fishing line used old tv stand for legs secured it and weighted it down to floor so plant wouldn't lift screen up. Only cost me time already had all materials. I go top notch for soil, nutes , co2 , and lights. But because of family , and only growing for personal use. My budget is low , love smoking but love my family more so priorities come first. So anything I can think of I try to save on, or try to find a diy way to accomplish whatever I'm trying to do. When I see my nieghbors getting rid of old tower computers I take every fan out of them. I have about 20 pc ,fans in my basement only use two lol

Side View so you can see under the scrog plant is very bushy going to try to grow until I fill the net 80% not really pressed for time want to see how much wieght I can get.

It is absolutely possible to fill the screen with one plant. I have heard fishing line can cut your plants/buds up but I do not know that for a fact so just beware. The plants look great! They are really taking well to the training it looks like.
