First Aeroponics/DWC build question with pics

I built my first aeroponics/dwc setup and here are some pics. My question is if i have too big of a pump, are my sprayers working fine, or are they junk. I'm useing an ACTIVEAQUA 550 GPH SUBMERSIBLE PUMP and 22 EZ Clone 360 Degree Mister Heads. The heads do not seem to be "misting" but do seem to be spraying water everywhere. I'm currenly just playing around testing a few things on junk seeds, but would like to correct this issue if needed befor I start my Cheese grow. Sorry if the pics aren't the greatest. Thanks for any info!

You're golden like a shower. (or golden like the girls...golden like the arches....and on and on and on...)

I've got a hand full of these setups going right now. They are mother effing awesome for cloning and veg (depending on length of veg).

I don't believe you're going to get a mist much finer than what you're getting...550gph might be overkill too, I've used 396gph and 268gph successfully. I do also use the same spray heads as you, put together with 1/2" PVC and the same fittings.

You could also probably use less than 22 spray heads and achieve everything you could ever imagine, but I appreciate the overkill. Is that a 22gallon roughneck reservoir you're using? I've had issues with leakage around some lids. Your spray heads, although they are "360" don't spray equally in all directions and rather spray a larger percentage of the water in directions of polar opposites. So if you're getting water around the lid, you can turn the spray heads so that their water streams aren't spraying directly at the lid's inside edge. If you don't know what I mean, stick it in the shower with the lid off and the pump on and watch the spray patterns....but I guess if you don't have leaks, then ya know...don't worry about it.

im useing a roughneck 31 gallon res and also noticed a small drip on the one corner every now and then. i plan to use some foam closed cell tape to hopefully seal the whole lid properly and get rid of any drips. once i noticed the sprayers pump out a larger percentage of the water in directions of polar opposites i turned the heads so that every other head was the same direction to spray in a more even grid pattern. its going to be 6 sites from start to finish so i wanted to make sure they all got enough spray from the setup. thanks again for the info.

That looks like a good setup man. 22 heads is good. They do get clogged occasionally. So more won't really hurt anything.

Actualy these set ups work great for all stages even flowering. I have been using a rubbermaid aero/dwc for years now and will never look back. My set up only uses 3 sprayers and it's more than enough. I will post some pics later.
